2018 Goals and PowerSheets Review

One of the tools I’m most excited about using in 2018 comes from the genius team at Cultivate What Matters. They’re called PowerSheets: The Ultimate Intentional Goal Planner.

They say timing is everything and that notion couldn’t ring any truer because these PowerSheets came into my life at just the right time. If you had a chance to follow The Crowned Goat in 2017, you know it was an especially hard year for us. In March, my grandparents died a day and a half apart, my sweet Talladega passed away in June and by the time Hurricane Irma hit in September, I was all but numb, disconnected and operating on auto pilot.

Thankfully, love showed up so many times for us throughout the year and it was through quiet reflection during our time at the cabin I realized 2017 was actually a year filled with incredible grace. Grace, I could have never comprehended nor passed along to others had I not gone through those incredibly painful experiences.

I know my heart will continue to heal this year and as it does, I want to make sure I’m living a more intentional and cultivated life which is where PowerSheets come in. They’re not a calendar or a lifestyle planner rather they’re specifically the ultimate goal planner. If you’re new to PowerSheets, Lara Casey, the creator of PowerSheets describes them this way…

“… PowerSheets were designed to help you cultivate what matters most, little by little, with some big leaps along the way – no perfection required.”

Cultivate what matters? Little by little? Big leaps along the way? No perfection required? Sign me up!

Even though some of my favorite #ladybosses rave about and use PowerSheets, I really wasn’t sure what to expect until they arrived at my door around Thanksgiving. I’d watched most of the videos from the Cultivate What Matters Team and they were definitely helpful but there’s nothing like receiving the PowerSheets package and digging right in.

There are so many great topics covered in this goal planner, these are just a few:

  • What Matters Most to You
  • Meeting Your Fears, Challenges, Purpose
  • Things I’m Saying “No” To
  • Things I’m Saying “Yes” To
  • Gratitude, Good Goals and Letting Go

Each page has an activity that helps you uncover what’s truly important to you so you can create good goals and a detailed, action oriented plan to achieve those goals throughout the year.

The most exciting thing about this goal planner is that it’s grace filled! That’s right, grace filled. So, your goals are reevaluated and/or refreshed each season.

I know!

Just thinking about women (and probably some men too) of all ages around the world working to live a cultivated life and reaching goals that matter to them makes me totally giddy.

Each month, I’ll share not only the goals we’re working on but the progress we’re making on those goals as well. In fact, if you have some goals you’re working on this year and you need a cheerleader send me an email and let me know how I can best support you.

This year, we’ll be…

  • Committed to keeping Sundays sacred
  • Growing The Crowned Goat with intention (there are so many exciting makeovers on the books)
  • Creating and celebrating beautiful and organized spaces
  • Developing a healthier lifestyle with meal plans, excise, rest and recreation goals
  • Developing personally and professionally with journaling, meditation, devotionals, finishing online classes, in store events, reading 12 books this year and completing a Bible Study on the book of James
  • Taking time to truly connect
  • Stewarding our financial goals
  • Invested in carving out white space (i.e., not saying yes to requests out of guilt or obligation, block scheduling, Freedom Fridays)

I can’t wait to watch these goals unfold this year and I can’t wait to hear all about your goals too!

Of course, you don’t need PowerSheets to reach your goals this year but if you’re interested in trying them out you can read more about PowerSeets here. They have two different goal planners, a 12-month version and a 6-month version, and a lot of other goodies in the Cultivate Shop.

Have you any of you guys tried PowerSheets yet? If so, I’d love to hear about your experience in the comments section below.

See you guys back here tomorrow with a bit of housekeeping news, scenes from our week and all of our favorite things from around the web. Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo

  2. Hey CoCo – we haven’t tried Power Sheets but this sounds exactly like our goal planning for 2018. So happy that you have found something that you are excited about that is working for you. Can’t wait to follow along!

    1. My favorite two favorite parts about this book is that there are so many self discovery questions in the beginning, you can’t help but only set goals that are most important to you. The other thing is the tending pages where the goals are broken down into small tangible steps which helps to keep you on track. I can’t wait to see what 2018 brings for you guys too, CoCo
