Do you guys ever have those random moments where things just hit you right in the gut? For the past month I’ve been reading the faith based book, “The Best Yes” by Lysa Terkeurst. The entire book is so good. It’s helped me stay focused on what’s really important when I feel crazed and it’s on my nightstand this month.
With St. Patrick’s Day just two weeks away I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite ideas to help celebrate the day.
A few weeks ago I started working on a new project called River Ranch. This will be a second home and retreat space for a super sweet family.
I’m working with a great group of ladies this year to purge and organize my entire home using the KonMari method from the book The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up. So far, I’ve organized the bedroom drawers and closet, the pantry, the kitchen cabinets and drawers as well as the kitchen’s built in desk area. I can honestly say, we’ve been able to keep these areas tidy thanks to decluttering and having a system in place we’re able to maintain. My goal this month is to tame the piles of books and magazines. Here are a few clever ways to help you organize them both especially if you love magazines as much as I do…

Can you guys believe we’re almost into March? You know what that means, Spring is on the way! It’s been amazing weather in Florida over the past few weeks. We’ve spent more time outdoors during the day and snuggling up to watch a movies at night. It feels like the best of both worlds. Here are a few other things we’re celebrating as we say Goodbye February, Hello March…
I’ve using chalk paint when painting furniture for a while now privately for clients and over the past few years for my space at The Pickers Market. As of late, I haven’t been really digging deep into the details of each painted piece. But last week, I got an interesting comment on the Pure White Painted Dresser I shared that made me change my mind. Here’s a look at my favorite tips for painting, applying wax and getting a good finish on painted furniture pieces.

It all started when we decided to give the breakfast area a little refresh. As I’ve shared with you guys before, this house has an open floor plan making it hard to change things up in one room without changing things up in the adjoining rooms. So, once we finished with the breakfast area, I decided to add a few new things to the kitchen too. Here’s a look at the kitchen refresh…
You would have to go all the way back to this post in late October to see my latest finds from the treasure trail. I’ve been trying SO hard to use the things I have stockpiled before adding to my inventory closet. But last month, I got a really sweet birthday surprise, which allowed me the chance to hit the roads hot again. If last year was the Year of the Goat, this year should have been called The Year of Ironstone. Here’s a look at my latest finds from the treasure trail…
Way back in November when we were in the thick of trying to get Loblolly Manor ready for Thanksgiving, my aunts found a nine-drawer dresser for me. It was a pale yellow with bamboo inspired trim. The previous owner must love to be organized because there were labels all over the front of the drawers too. But you can’t beat all those drawers for storage. Here’s a look at how we gave this dresser a fresh new feel…
