From the Front Porch

I don’t want to get all crazy from the get-go but if anyone heard a bit of screamin’ and hollerin’ coming from this little cottage yesterday, it was probably me. I can finally see the top of my dining room table, the table in the breakfast area AND the console table behind the sofa. Does that mean everything is tidied up and put away? Heck, no! But it does show serious signs of progress.

How has your week been? Did you feel a day behind every.single.day? Me too! I was all Taco Tuesday on a Wednesday. I’m definitely looking forward to catching up on a few things this weekend and I know a lot of you are too. Is anyone else seeing Fall everywhere? It’s so exciting, right?. I keep telling everyone I’m going to start decorating the minute the last piece of hardware has been installed in the kitchen but then I remember I’m still waiting on a few things to arrive in the mail. There was a bit of delay due to the storms but everything has been shipped so it won’t be too long now and I’ll have pumpkins all over.

Here are a few things I’m loving from around the web this week….(Affiliate links have been provided for your convenience. You can read our full disclosure policy here )…

There were so many beautiful farmhouse kitchen fall tours last week. This one was one of my favorites.

Love, love, love this post on 9 Ways to Make Your Home Feel Straight Out of Nancy Meyers Movie. If you dream of living in the house on Father of the Bride or The Holiday one day, this post is for you.

Since we’re talking about homes, have you guys read 5 Things People with Tidy Homes Don’t Do from the Nester yet? Every word – truth.

Now that our kitchen cabinets have been painted, it’s time to think about decorating. We have lights, barstools and a rug coming so I’ll be saving for this next.

We use these almost every day.

We’re still on the hunt for a statement piece for the coffee bar area of the kitchen. This idea would be a great way to add more wood grain to all the painted pieces in the room.

Has anyone pre-ordered this book yet?

If you missed anything on The Crowned Goat this week, every day was dedicated to #allthingskitchenmakeover….

I hope you guys all have a safe and happy weekend. We’re hoping to finish up some projects around the house and treasure hunt at an estate sale on Saturday, rest on Sunday and gear up for a fun week next week. Until then I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

    1. Aww, thanks you guys! It definitely feels like things are coming together which is exciting. As you know, living in an open concept home comes with a lot of fun challenges and what you do to one space impacts another space. I think my day will be filled with moving furniture around. Sending you hugs, CoCo
