From the Front Porch

Happy Friday from the front porch you guys! How has your week been? I hope it’s been a good one and you were able to get back into the swing of things after the Thanksgiving holiday break.

We’ve been laser focused on getting all of our Christmas decorating posts finished before we hit the road again. Did you guys have a chance to see all the rooms in the Come Home for Christmas series hosted by 2 Bees in a Pod yet? Oh man, there were some seriously creative ideas. I love this time of year because so many people are sharing some amazing bits of inspiration from food to decorating ideas to gift ideas. It always feels like such an exciting way to gear up for all the Christmas festivities.

Did you guys do any shopping on Black Friday or Cyber Monday? I think I have all of my Christmas and birthday presents ordered now so hopefully they’ll be here soon so I can get them all wrapped and delivered in time.

Most of my week has been filled with taking care of my sweet Jelly Bean who has not been feeling well, catching up on laundry, sitting at my desk writing posts or hanging garland which is kind of uneventful so I thought I would share a few scenes from the Thanksgiving weekend with you.

Scenes from my week…

We stayed at the most peaceful retreat place.

It had so many great trails including this outdoor chapel space.

The accommodations were totally old school.

The night we got there they started decorating for Christmas hanging wreaths around all the walking paths and these from all the balconies.

You would probably never guess the rooms were above the cutest little grocery store but that just added to the down home charm of the place.

The weekend wasn’t all sleeping in and relaxing though. I hear this is going to be Team Crowned Goat’s next design project he he. I wish you could have heard the littles when they found out they were getting a tree house at Loblolly Manor. We still have to put the shingles up, install the windows, and the doors. Of course, it has to be painted and the ladder has to be built as well. I’m pushing for window boxes and shutters so we’ll see how it all comes together over the next few months. My dad, uncle and brothers in law (brother in laws?) worked really hard to make it all happen which was super sweet.

Our 2017 Advent Calendar

I hope you have a peace filled and happy weekend. I have a few things to take care of for clients today and we have a full day planned with family tomorrow. I hear the Sugar Plum Fairies have been practicing “really, really, really, really hard….like really hard, Aunt CoCo.” I’ll clearly be picking up a bouquet of roses on my way into town.

We have a great week coming up for you next week. On Monday, I’ll share how we added Christmas touches to one of the bedrooms. Tuesday, I’ll share Christmas in the breakfast nook and on Wednesday I’ll share how we decorated for Christmas in the kitchen. I haven’t quite finished the porches but I’m hoping to share them on Thursday before meeting you back on Friday with scenes from our week and all of our favorite things from around the web.

Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo
