From the Front Porch: Dreaming of Spring

Happy Friday from the front porch sweet friends. Welcome to March and the Dreaming of Spring edition!

This week we’ve been tying up lose ends and wrapping up our February goals so we can fully concentrate on cultivating all the good things March has to offer.

If you haven’t set any goals because it seems too overwhelming, why not just set one or two this month and see how it goes?

March Focus of the Month…

For those of you who are following along with our 52 Weeks to a Simplied and Organized Home Challenge our focus for the month of March is “Primary Bedrooms and Bathrooms.”

Here’s the schedule if you need it:

  • Week 10: Declutter and Organize Primary Bedroom
  • Week 11: Declutter and Organize Primary Bedroom Drawers
  • Week 12: Declutter and Organize Primary Bedroom Closet, Shoes and Accessories
  • Week 13: Declutter and Organized Primary Bathroom Cabinets and Simplify Countertops

If you’ve already decluttered and organized your primary bedroom and bathroom consider giving both spaces a refresh.

This can include everything from getting a new mattress, new bed linens or towels, updating the artwork, or simply decluttering the shelves in your shower!

March Word of the Month…

The Words of the Month for March are “Culitvate Healthy Habits.”

Here’s a list of ideas in case you need those too:

  • Make a Healthy Smoothie or Juice Recipe
  • Enjoy Movie Night with a Friend
  • Go for a Walk on the Beach, the Lake, a Park, or a New Neighborhood Trail
  • Prioritize Sleep
  • Stretch Before You Get Out of Bed
  • Fill Your Water Bottle and Place It in the Fridge Before Going to Bed or Place a Carafe Filled with Water on Your Nightstand
  • Do a 15-Minute Clutter Catcher Clean-Up Each Night

Things to Celebrate in March…

There are so many fun things to celebrate in March from St. Patrick’s Day, Pi Day, Easter, the Cherry Blossom Festival, March Madness, Women’s History Month, spring break travel plans, the time change and lots of amazing things in between.

Now is a great time to check the local events page to see what’s happening in your community this month if you haven’t already. Tickets to events like Spring home and garden tours are likely to sell out fast!

Whatever you have planned this month, I hope March is all that you need it to be.

As always, I’ll be cheering you on.

  10. Hi CoCo – Oh gosh I dream of cherry blossoms! When I lived in Delaware – spring was so beautiful because there were SO MANY cherry blossom trees. Also I love your tips for staying organized. Lately I have been spend spending 10 minutes at night getting ready for work in the morning. Packing my lunch, setting out my clothes etc. It makes the mornings so much more enjoyable and less hectic.
