Goodbye July, Hello August

Wow, you guys what an eventful July! We started the month with a recap of my booth space at The Pickers Market. The picture on the left is what my booth looked like at the beginning of the month and the picture on the right is what it looked like last Thursday. I was so excited to be able to pick up a few new pieces around 4th of July weekend but my stash is dwindling so I’ve been out this week looking for furniture again. The hunt is definitely my favorite part.

I painted all of these pieces for the booth and the coastal inspired chair makeover went to my sister. I saw her at my granny’s birthday party this past weekend and she still loves them.

One of my favorites projects we’ve worked on this month is the industrial style shelves my bestie S helped me build for the dining room. I love the rustic look it gave the space. I still need to find new curtains and after finding a couple of wing back chairs last week, I’m rethinking the chairs at the ends of the dining room table.

I was also able to finish one of the bedroom makeovers. It went from shabby chic inspired to calming neutrals and I feel relaxed every time I walk through the door.

With all of changes taking place, I recapped my 2015 Home Tour.   I’ve been making lots of progress the past few months and I only have the two offices, the laundry room and the front porch left to update. I’m hoping to finish the basics by the end of the year.

Finally, I’ve been working through my 2015 Summer Bucket List and so far I’ve gone on a road trip to the bloggers conference Haven with my mom, made watermelon basil popsicles and learned to make sweet peppermint sun tea. I’ve also found a way to capture summer in a mason jar with my strawberry basil simmer pot.

Goodbye July, it’s been fun. August, if you’re listening, I can’t wait to see what adventures you have in store for me!

Many blessings and happy weekend,

CoCo
