The Pickers Market Booth Update

I’ve gone every week sometimes twice a week this month to change things around in my booth at The Pickers Market. We’re heading into the holiday season so I want to make sure old things have been marked way down and new things are ready for display. October is a month when we start to see people traveling for business or coming for events that are specific to North Florida area and the beaches too. Hurricane season is almost over so the weather right now is amazing. At the end of September my booth space looked like this…

and in the middle of October it looked like this…

just last week it looked like this to make room for a few pieces I have hanging out in my garage.

It’s been harder to move some pieces of furniture than I had expected and easier for others. Some pieces, I didn’t even get to take a picture of before they were being sold. If you’re a vendor you know what I’m talking about. Sometimes, you’ll get your booth set up exactly like you want it and then an anchor piece sells or a piece that’s holding your vision together will sell and you have to start all over again. It’s almost like working a new puzzle each week but that’s what keeps it interesting. You have to be willing to constantly evolve with your styling, inventory choices and price points. I definitely have plans for big changes in all of these areas next year.

I have so much more work to do in this booth before the holiday season really gets underway. You know that quote that says, “Dreams don’t work unless you do,” it’s totally true. I’m always looking to improve on things in this space to create a fun shopping experience for the customers that come into the store. It feels like a constant dance but I’m so thankful I get to do what I love each day.
