A Year of Painted Furniture

Did you guys have a Merry Christmas? I’m still in the midst of family togetherness, eating Twizzlers out of my stocking and waking up to pillow fights with my niece and nephews. I know it’s going to be back to reality and a busy schedule soon but until then I’m going to soak up every moment of being with them that I can.

We have some fun things planned for this week and we’ve already scheduled two day trips in the month of January that I’m excited about. We also put a race on our calendar this year so I’m going to have to get out of cookie mode soon and into training mode. All of this planning for 2015 led to a conversation about how quickly 2014 flew by. It’s been crazy!

I thought it would be fun to take a look back at some of the furniture pieces I’ve painted in 2014. You won’t be surprised that most of them are white. But my booth space is in a quaint little beach town and I love white so I’m totally ok with that 🙂

Some pieces needed a ton of work while others needed just a fresh coat of paint. I did sell a few things that I didn’t paint at all and I even painted a few pieces in shades of sea glass.

Paris Grey also made an appearance in my booth this year. This was one of my favorite transformations. I can’t wait to start using some of the new Annie Sloan Chalk Paint colors I received as presents.

  5. Wow Coco! These are only “some” of the pieces you’ve redone? That is impressive ~ both in terms of DIY & time management!! These all look great. We are still working on the same 4 pieces we started back in the summer. I still <3 the sea glass painted craft cabinet. Keeping my eyes open for a similar piece I can redo, though it could be 2016 before I get to it 🙂 Happy New Year friend!! Bwg ~~~

    1. It’s amazing that I was able to get that many pieces painted, Bobbi! I think sometimes I forget all the furniture I’ve saved from the landfill. It’s a labor of love that doesn’t feel like labor at all. I wish I lived closer to you, we could rehab together! Love and hugs sweet lady! CoCo
