2015…The Year of the Goat…and what a year it was.
My word of the year was committed. I can honestly say I carried that word as my motivation even during the toughest months like June and July. My parents bought me a ring inscribed with one of my favorite scriptures from Philippians 4:6-7 that says…be anxious for nothing…that was another promise I’ve held onto all year long. They’ve both helped me to stay focused when I dealt with burn out or my creativity tank would dry up for a hot minute.
A few of the biggest changes that I’ve embraced this year are writing my goals down no matter how great or tiny they seem. It’s helped me to stay on track in the midst of a million distractions. I’ve also been using a morning routine, cleaning schedule and keeping things more organized in general. I’m teaming up with a great group of ladies next year to make some exciting transformations in that area.
It’s so hard to believe how different the house looks this year. They all seemed like little changes at the time but they really made a big difference. The front porch, entry, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, living room and back patio all got a makeover.
Even in the midst of all of those projects, seasonal decorating always gave me something fun to look forward to…
Winter…
Spring…
Summer…
Fall…
Christmas…
Of course, it’s not all about the decorating. I painted a lot of furniture this year…
And thanks to my bestie S, we built a lot of things too…you rock it like a #girlboss S, thank you for everything.
It was an interesting year at my booth at the Pickers Market…
Of course, the treasure hunting is always my favorite part…
My biggest design project of the year was dedicated to my childhood home, Loblolly Manor. We’ve made tons of progress and there is still so much to show you like the living room and dining room!
It was a fun year of crafting…
and baking…
and making…
You guys have been so sweet to support my how to’s…
my greatest joys…
and my heartbreaking losses…
You’ve laughed at my first ever video bloopers…”It only took me 50 tries!” Someone asked me if I lived in a bad section of town because there was so much gunfire in the background. I don’t live in a bad section of town but this little island is so small and target practice during this time of year is especially common.
Whew…CoCo – you had an industrious and fabulous year! You should be so very proud of all that you have accomplished in 2015…we can’t wait to see what you do in 2016! We love and admire you…the Bees
You guys are awesome, thank you! When you’re going through the year you think “yeah maybe I did ok with the projects this year” and then you see them all together and you’re like “where did I find the time to do all of that” ha ha! I truly appreciate all of your love, support and encouragement this year. I can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store for us! Hugs, CoCo

You’re so sweet, Kendra, thank you. It’s hard to believe looking back we got all that done in one year which gives me hope we’re going to be able to accomplish even more in 2016. I’m sending you lots of love and hugs today. I hope you and your family had a blessed holiday season. Miss you – CoCo
