I used to think the busyness of life was just seasonal. You know? Like when you’re invited to 3 different holiday parties on the same weekend. Yet if the past few months have taught me anything about my schedule it’s this: this is my new normal. One thing that’s helped me stay sane during this crazy time of building a small business while still maintaining a blog and an active family life is the importance of a morning routine. Here are a few tips that have helped keep me on track…
Have you ever noticed how quickly the refrigerator can become messy? Each morning when I would grab my favorite coffee creamer I noticed more and more how things were piling up in there. Given that my schedule has been kind of crazy lately, I’m committed to corralling the clutter before it gets out of control. Here’s how I tamed the mess by organizing the refrigerator with budget friendly baskets…
One year ago this week, I was standing in the aisle of a local craft supply store debating the amount of baskets that were in my shopping cart. As I made my way to the check out line, I silently wondered if it would be worth it. I mean did I really NEED these baskets to help keep my pantry organized?
One of the goals I have for this year is to get my home more organized and the spaces more functional. I’ve been working toward this goal off and on for several years and I made a lot of progress in 2014. As you can see here, the hall closet really needed to be a priority and I decided to reorganize it for games and craft supplies.
I had New Year’s Day lunch with my family yesterday and we were talking about 2015 resolutions and the types of goals we wanted to set and achieve this year.
I bake at least once a week and during the holidays sometimes it’s two or three times a week. So the other day, I was getting out my materials to make cookies.
When it comes to organization there have been a lot of things that have been bothering me lately and you know what? I’m going to start working on them bit by bit.
