The Pickers Market Booth Update

What a week! I spent most of Tuesday revamping my booth at The Pickers Market.  Fernandina has a huge event every year called The Shrimp Festival.  They close the roads downtown, bring in vendors, food trucks and everyone has a big time.  I’ve been shopping almost every week this month, which is always fun.  I packed my junk wagon as full as I could get it.  Unfortunately, it’s been such a busy week I didn’t even have time to take pictures of my most recent finds but I do have lots of pictures of my booth space.  Just as a recap this is what my space looked like when I gave the last update in early February

It blows my mind looking at that picture because only one piece of furniture (the dry sink) is still for sale.  All of the other furniture has been sold. This is what it looks like now

This is a better look at the 1811 table I staged as a baking station for the blog last Thursday.  It would also look really good as a mobile drink station at parties or backyard barbeques as well.

I brought home this metal cabinet the same week I hit the basket lotto.  One of the vendors said to me yesterday, “I love your metal cabinet. It looks like something everyone’s grandpa had when we were younger.” I think that was a compliment ha ha!

This display unit that my bestie S helped me build has been so helpful.  It can hold a lot of treasures so I am always filling it up.  I picked up the Spinnaker and Lobster signs, the blue vase, the lobster plates and the business envelope on the bottom shelf last week.

I brought the Herboriste potting station to my booth late Sunday.  It was so hard.  You may remember it’s 6 feet long so it takes up almost the entire back wall. The rattan pieces in the windows are new, as are the wooden and metal scoops on the painted end table, the green glass outdoor candle holder, the fish platters, the vintage green wine decanter, the gnarled wood wine opener and the conch shell on the bottom shelf.

I’ve had the canoe paddle and captains wheel for a bit so I finally brought them in.

It’s hard to tell in this shot but on the dry sink by the tool caddy and vintage rolling pin is a metal cake stand that has a recipe stamped on the side of it.  The metal scale is also new to the booth.

This buffet painted in French Linen is on wheels and after moving most of this furniture from one side of the booth to the other I was so thankful.  I picked up the vintage child silhouette last week.

I brought this nightstand home last Tuesday and painted it in Duck Egg this weekend.  I don’t know what it is about that color and variations of that color but it’s flying out the door.

I still have a few things from last week that I haven’t had the chance to take pictures of or inventory yet so I’ll share those next week. I hope you each have a happy and relaxing weekend.

Many blessings,

CoCo

  1. Oh my gosh CoCo – you should be so very proud of the businesswoman and vendor that you are. Your success is obvious from month-to-month when your booth is sold out and is completely revamped! Way to go! You can teach us a thing or tow 🙂

  3. HI Coco. Wow how fun it must be to go there and add new things, remerchandise and then have it sell. On the other hand I’m sure as a self motivated woman it’s a challenge and pressure to constantly find new things and keep that inventory stocked. BRAVO to YOU!! You’re amazing!! xo Lisa
