While we were waiting on my dad to finish the farm table for the dining room at Loblolly, my mom and I got to work on another set of chairs. We’ve used varied colors of chalk paint on almost all of the painted pieces throughout the house and we wanted something with a totally different finish. The budget for Loblolly has been largely used for construction issues, roofing concerns, new appliances and flooring. We’ve had to get really creative with the pieces we’re bringing in to keep the French Country look my mom is after. When I look back on my home goals from last year, I’m totally excited about all we accomplished. The front porch, back patio area, kitchen, living room, two of the bedrooms and two of the bathrooms got makeovers. Some of the changes were small and others felt like a big undertaking. I can’t believe the last time I updated you guys on Loblolly Manor was over the summer. All of the bedrooms have been completed save for a replacement dresser and a few minor decorative details that still need to be worked out. Since we’ll be spending a lot of time there over the next few weeks, I thought I would show you the progress we’ve made in the kitchen.
