Morning Matcha Protein Recipe
We’re sharing a recipe for a morning matcha protein recipe today!
As some of you know, I’ve been on a big health journey this year.
It all started back in January when my Mom got a very unexpected diagnosis.
Looking back, it was a blessing in disguise because it allowed us to start looking at our health and wellness in a completely different way.
After having extensive lab tests run, my doctors started me on a daily regimen that starts the minute I wake up.
It took a bit of trial and error at first.
Especially, trying to find a simple solution that didn’t require me to make a full meal early in the morning.
But I’ve finally found something that works for me, a morning matcha protein drink.
As always, it’s best to talk to your doctor about your specific health and wellness needs.
Neither this post, nor this recipe is meant to be medical or nutritional advice.
I’m merely sharing my personal experience.
Also, Consumer Reports recently tested 23 brands of protein powders and shakes. The post was both informative and eye opening. So, I wanted to include it as well.

- 1 packet VitaCup Hydration Matcha
- 1-2 tbsp Vanilla Protein Powder
- 1 tbsp Collagen Peptides, (optional)
- Unsweetened Milk
- Ice
- 16 oz Wide Mouth Ball Jar or 16 oz Regular Mouth Pink Jars
- Straw, optional
Morning Matcha Protein Recipe Steps
Make sure your jar and lid are clean and dry.

Add 1-2 tablespoon of vanilla protein powder.

Next, add a tablespoon of collagen powder if desired.

Then empty a packet of hydration matcha into the jar.

I love this one because it’s travels well and has matcha, coconut water, Himalayan salt and magnesium in each packet.

Fill the jar with ice until it’s about ¾ full.

Add unsweetened milk until it’s also about ¾ full.

Screw the lid back on the jar and make sure it’s secure.

Shake the jar until all the morning matcha protein drink ingredients are combined.
Remove the lid and top with additional milk if desired.

Enjoy!

To Note…
What I love about this morning matcha protein drink is that it’s quick and easy to put together yet it’s also filling.
I usually drink this around 7 am after my morning workout then have breakfast and coffee around 9 or 930 am.
I also love that this matcha packet already contains electrolytes.
So, it saves me an extra step in the morning.
And knowing I can add a bit of protein powder without making the drink too sweet feels like a bonus too.

I’ll be honest, learning how to eat and take care of my body differently has been a bit of an adjustment.
Especially since I’ve always been relatively healthy.
But as we always say, investing in yourself is one of the best investments you’ll ever make.
And you’re worth the effort.
So, let us know your favorite way to start the day!
