Simple Melatonin and Lavender Bath Soak

We’re sharing a simple melatonin and lavender bath soak today!

If you had a chance to check out my post on hosting a restorative retreat at home, you likely saw the quick and easy swag bags I created for each attendee.

Tucked inside the bags was a melatonin and lavender bath soak which was a big hit and super simple to make!

As with citrus simmer pots, sugar scrubs, and salt scrubs, bath soaks can be given to friends, family members, neighbors, and coworkers for just about any occasion.

Bonus, this melatonin and lavender bath soak only uses 2 ingredients, which means if you have the supplies and containers on hand already, you can whip these up in minutes.

Here’s a look at how to make an easy melatonin and lavender bath soak…

Melatonin and Lavender Bath Soak Steps:

Gather your supplies and lay a tarp or paper down to protect your work surfaces. Make sure your jar or container is free from dirt and debris.

In a medium size bowl, add the desired amount of melatonin sleep soak bath salts

and lavender buds.

Then stir to combine the ingredients together.

Carefully, scoop the melatonin and lavender bath soak into each jar with a spoon or a food funnel.

Once you’re finished, make sure the lid has been carefully secured.

Accent with ribbon and a care card.

Keep in Mind…

All the homes on the island are on a well and septic system, including ours. So, my plan is to use tea bags to help keep the lavender flowers from going down the drain.

If storage is tight at your house or you don’t take enough baths to justify buying the tea bags, consider creating a pocket of sleep soak goodness using cheesecloth or pantyhose.

I don’t know about you, but I can easily get carried away when creating gift baskets or swag bags no matter what the occasion. There are just so many fantastic goodies to gift!

After all, it’s nice to make people feel loved and cared for in any season, you know?

Retreat Bags Tips and Tricks…

One thing I realized when we were creating the swag bags for my Mom’s birthday weekend in Savannah, is to take the pressure off and make things as simple as possible.

This means giving practical items that won’t have to be stored long or decluttered over time.

Since we had a restorative retreat theme from the beginning, we made sure each item could be used for “Self-Care Sunday,” sessions or, as with the water bottles and snacks, could be consumed during retreat breakout sessions.

In addition, the melatonin and lavender bath soak was great because it felt really calming to climb into a hot bath after long retreat days, the container can be used again and at 16 oz easily stored as well.

Melatonin and Lavender Sleep Soak Gift Idea-The Crowned Goat

As we transition from one season to another, now is a great time to be thinking about how you can incorporate a solid self-care and rest plan into your life if you haven’t already.

It’s also a great time to plan ahead for holiday gift giving. That way, you’ll be able to enjoy all the good things the season has to offer.

Let us know if you make this melatonin and lavender bath soak and your favorite swag bag items! Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo

  3. Cco,
I so wish I could take a relaxing bath but since my knee replacement surgery, I take showers as it is much easier for me…Thanks so much for stopping by and yes, i got absolutely nothing done when we had our grand pups here for 4 days! Azumi just turned a year and wants to play constantly and has all that puppy energy yet. Faye is 2 years old and is a bit calmer but they sure kept me busy. not that they were misbehaving but they do like constant attention and truth be told, my husband was of no help in that department!! LOL! The 2 dogs that we had when the boys were young came from shelters and they were over 2 years old when we adopted them so they were settled down by then….But we do love them to pieces….Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
    Hugs,
    Deb

    1. I hadn’t even thought about that Deb but it would definitely be easier on your knee to shower. Thinking about you not getting anything done gives me the giggles because you are the queen of getting things done – not only at your home but at your neighbors and in your community too! I need some of your energy for handing Piper! Love that your grandpups feel so cozy at your house. They are so cute I would just want to play with them all day. Heading over to see what you’ve been up to, CoCo
