Santa’s Cozy Cabin Holiday Cocktail

Today is going to be such a fun day because I’m joining forces with some fabulous bloggers for a virtual cocktail party and I can’t wait to share this recipe for our Santa’s Cozy Cabin Holiday Cocktail with you. A big thank you to my sweet friends Vicki and Jenn of 2 Bees in a Pod for putting this fantastic blog hop together!

I know there will probably be a lot of relaxing and lazy nights spent by the fire over the next few weeks as we ease even further into the holiday season. We’re definitely looking forward to some much needed time off at the cabin and I know so many of you are ready to let go of the hustle and bustle too.

Truth be told, I’m not much of a drinker. I can have a glass of champagne on New Year’s Eve with dinner at 8pm and by 830 I’m all “Happy New Year, you guys!” As one of my aunts says, “Just smelling the cork makes me feel polluted,” ha ha that’s totally me.

But every year we try to create some sort of signature cocktail to help kick off our vacation where we enjoy crisp hikes nearly every morning, afternoons snuggled up in cozy flannel with good books and hot soup and hours by the firepit giggling the night away with friends, family and what seems like a million stars.

This year, we’ve created Santa’s Cozy Cabin Holiday Cocktail which can be served warm or cold. Let me show you how easy it is to make…

RECIPE: (serves 4-6)

4 cups freshly brewed coffee (as strong as you like)

1 cup Baileys Irish Cream with Mint

¾ cup Kahlua

½ cup Peppermint Coffee Creamer

Whipped cream (for serving)

Crushed peppermint or candy canes (for serving)

STEPS:

Combine coffee, Baileys, Kahlua, and peppermint coffee creamer into a saucepan.

Heat on the stove at medium-low heat until hot. You can adjust liquors to taste (add more peppermint creamer if the drink is too strong) at this time. As always, use caution and care as ingredients will be hot.

Serve in a festive mug and

top with whipped cream and crushed peppermint bits, if desired.

Now if you plan to drink the Santa’s Cozy Cabin Holiday Cocktail cold, you’ll need to wait until the above mixture has completely cooled before pouring over ice in a tumbler.

Top with whipped cream and crushed peppermint bits or candy canes, if desired.

This drink both the hot version and the cold version is velvety smooth.

We plan to enjoy it with our favorite Christmas cookies. You guys know I love me some cookies – I’ll definitely be hiking a few extra miles this trip ha ha.

I’m really getting excited about the next few weeks and I hope you guys are getting excited about your holiday plans too. If you decide to try Santa’s Cozy Cabin Holiday Cocktail this season, please drink responsibly and safely!

I can’t wait to check out what these fabulous ladies are having at their holiday cocktail party so make sure to stop by and give them some Christmas cheer…

See you guys back here tomorrow. I’ll share how we added a bit of Christmas inspiration to the back patio. Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo
