Blush Pink Gift Tag Ornament

We’re sharing a quick and easy blush pink gift tag ornament today!

Several years ago, my Mom and I found the prettiest wrapping paper.

It was the perfect shade of blush pink and featured glitter Christmas trees over it. I was so excited when we were able to snag three rolls.

The only downside to this beautiful wrapping paper was that it was hard to wrap big presents because the paper would almost always tear at the corners.

So, I primarily wound up using it on smaller gifts.

Given the rolls have been sitting in our vintage dresser gift wrapping station for a while now, I found myself in the aisle of Hobby Lobby the other day looking for some way to use them.

It wasn’t long before I found these fabulous wooden ornaments on sale and I knew immediately I could use the wrapping paper to create a quick and easy blush pink gift tag ornaments.

I love projects and products that can perform double duty without a lot of extra work.

So, I’m excited to share these blush pink gift tag ornaments because they can be used on packages or hung on the tree.

Blush Pink Gift Tag Ornament Steps:

Gather your supplies.

Flip the wrapping paper over the print side down and lay your wooden ornament on top of the paper.

Use a pencil to trace around the ornament.

Then using caution and care as scissors will be sharp, cut out around your trace marks.

Flip the ornament over on the back side and paint your ornament.

We used blush pink paint.

But you can use whatever color complements your paint wrapping paper best.

While the paint is drying, use your home computer and printer to type out and print the recipient’s name.

This font is available in Word and is called Edwardian Script. The font size is 36.

Flip the paper over to the back and shade in the words using a Number 2 pencil.

Flip the paper back over and place it in the middle of your gift tag ornament.

Using a ballpoint pen, trace around the letters.

When you lift your paper, the words should be lightly transferred to the ornament.

Next, use a Sharpie, paint pen, or gel pen to fill in the pencil-marked words.

Creating the Front of the Ornament…

Once the ink has properly dried flip the gift tag ornament back over to the front.

Use double-sided tape or glue to secure the wrapping paper to the wooden ornament.

Then use silver paint or a silver Sharpie paint pen to fill in the top of the ornament.

Once the silver paint has properly dried, thread a ribbon through the top of your blush pink gift tag ornament.

At this point, you can hang the ornament on your Christmas tree or use additional ribbons to secure your gift tag ornament to your packages.
