I can hardly believe after 6 weeks of hard work, band aids and a few tears this day is finally here! I just want to take a hot minute to say thank you to Linda of Calling it Home for hosting and making this possible. Welcome to my One Room Challenge Office Makeover Reveal!
It’s been a fun six weeks participating in the One Room Challenge. I can hardly believe reveal day is tomorrow. It’s hard to appreciate where the office is headed until you see where it’s been. Here’s a peek at how the office has been since 2013…
Welcome back! I hope you guys all had a happy and rest filled weekend. We had fun celebrating my mom and hanging out as a family at Loblolly Manor. It was nice to be able to take a bit of a break to celebrate all the sweet, sassy and strong women that make up my family so I hope you guys had a chance to celebrate the women you love too.
You guys, I can’t even believe I’m about to utter these words…it’s week 5 already! Week 5 of the One Room Challenge hosted by Linda of Calling it Home. The biggest amount of progress we’ve made this week has been in the inventory/craft closet. Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to…
I’ve been collecting bits of ironstone, tarnished trophies, books and weathered wood pieces so I can have a layered look with lots of neutrals in the office makeover. With the rest of the budget dedicated to finishing the inventory/craft closet I had to come up with another way to get the look without buying more accessories, enter the power of paint.
I’m so glad you guys are here today. It’s going to be an awesome day because I’m teaming up with some of my favorite painters and business women for a fun post called What’s in My Paint Bag?
You guys, I can’t even believe we’re already at week 3 of the One Room Challenge! I’ve heard so many previous participants say week 3 is the hardest week and now I know why. You’ve been working like a total crazy pants living and breathing this project for weeks…you’re so close to being done…but you are tired…SO SO SO tired. Here’s a look at the progress we’re making in week 3…
For the past few years, we’ve worked together as a family to make 5 different houses feel like home completing a wide range of DIY projects along the way. It hasn’t always been easy but we’ve learned how to appreciate what each family member brings to the table and that has made completing projects so much easier. Here’s a few things to keep in mind when you’re tackling DIY projects and home makeovers with your family…
As you guys know, my Dad built a set of custom bookcases for the office makeover I’m doing as a guest participant for the One Room Challenge. He’s a really talented guy so I knew he could handle it, no problem. Well, he delivered them last week and imagine by surprise when they almost reached my 9 feet ceilings. Here’s a look at how they came together…
It’s been an incredibly busy week working on projects related to my home office makeover and the One Room Challenge but I’m really excited to give you a progress update today. Here’s a quick look at the office before…
I need a separate desk area even though we have plans to build a work island in the office. The hutch offers a generous amount of space for office supplies, a laptop and monitor so as far as I can tell it’s going to be a great piece. There’s just one thing I need to work out…here’s a look at the desk and hutch makeover.
