Easy Sticky Pecan Cinnamon Rolls
We’re sharing how to make the easiest sticky pecan cinnamon rolls today!
Shortly before Thanksgiving, I was finalizing my grocery list and realized we supposed to have cinnamon rolls for breakfast.
Normally, this wouldn’t be a big deal because my Dad makes the best cinnamon rolls from scratch.
They’re a real treat because we usually only have them at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The thing is, when the rest of my family left for the farm for Thanksgiving, I stayed back to help care for my bestie S who’d recently had surgery.
So, I knew I had to find a quick and easy way to make the annual cinnamon rolls a simple one.
After searching YouTube, I came across a canned cinnamon roll recipe from Kristin’s Friends Cooking which has been viewed over 6 million times.
To be perfectly honest, we don’t eat a lot of canned food.
So, I was skeptical about trying this recipe at first.
Especially since my Dad’s cinnamon rolls are homemade.
That said, I’m glad I put my own spin on these and gave them a chance because they were a big hit and helped us carry on an annual tradition.
Here’s a look at how to make the easiest sticky pecan cinnamon rolls.

Sticky Pecan Cinnamon Rolls Guide…
Sticky Pecan Cinnamon Roll Supplies:
- Pilsbury Grands Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls (one can yields 5 big cinnamon rolls)
- Heavy Whipping Cream
- Brown Sugar
- Butter
- Ground Cinnamon
- Lightly Salted Roasted Pecans
- Baking Spray (we used Pam)
- Aluminum Foil
Steps:
Gather your supplies and set your oven to 350 degrees.
Spray the inside of your dish (I used a ceramic pie dish) with baking spray.

Next, arrange your cinnamon rolls in your baking dish.

Drizzle heavy whipping cream on and around your cinnamon rolls.

In a small bowl, combine ½ – ¾ cup of brown sugar, 1-2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon and a ½ – ¾ cup of roasted lightly salted peans to a half stick of melted butter mixture.
Still until all the ingredients are mixed well.
I know these measurements seem a bit loose but honestly it all just depends on how sweet and pecan packed you want your sticky rolls to be.

Next scoop the mixture over each cinnamon roll with a spoon.

Cover with aluminum foil.

Again, using caution and care as the oven will be hot, place the sticky pecan cinnamon rolls into the oven at 350 degrees for 23-27 minutes.
Once the rolls are lightly brown, remove the aluminum foil using caution and care, and allow the rolls to bake an additional 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
Keep in mind, oven types and altitude will vary.
So, make sure to monitor closely to prevent burning.
Allow the cinnamon rolls to cool before eating.
The cinnamon rolls come with additional icing, but we don’t use it when making this pecan version because it’s a lot of extra sugar. You can always try it if you want though!

All in all, I’m excited that I gave these easy sticky pecan cinnamon rolls a chance.
While they’ll never replace my Dad’s homemade cinnamon rolls, they were a quick and easy alternative which helped us celebrate a tradition we hold dear.
