From the Front Porch

Happy Friday from the front porch, you guys!

There’s no way I could start this post without saying a HUGE thank you to everyone who dropped by and left a comment on our Christmas Home Tour post yesterday.  Your sweet support and kind words blew me away and I’m beyond grateful for each and every one of you.

I feel like this week is always a busy one as we try to tie up loose ends for work while simultaneously prepping for Christmas.

Almost every time I called my Mom this week she was either picking up something from the store or wrapping gifts in Santa’s Workshop ?

How are things with you this week?

A Few of Our Favorite Posts from Around the Web this Week…

There are way too many beautiful homes in this portfolio to share just one!

Danielle’s seaside home tour is always so pretty. That gorgeous hutch in the dining room, right?

My sweet friend Kim has a festive Christmas cottage home tour by the water too.

Loved this tabletop tree from Judith so much!

Lots of beautiful layers of greenery in this home tour and this one too.

I’ve never tried this before, but Jayne makes it look like so much fun.

Such a creative idea from Shelley, What to Do with Leftover Cranberries.

Speaking of creative, have you seen these ornaments yet? I’ve already pinned them for next year.

Love this elegant yet simple gift idea that can be given now or throughout the year.

Can you even with this Gingerbread House Tea Party? I could hang out there in a heartbeat.

The Perfect Place for A Cup of Tea

A festive take on window shopping.

As an introvert, I really appreciated this post.

So excited about this and the promise of this – they both seem like such a great way to end the year!

Watching this Week…

Are any of you watching, Virgin River on Netflix?  We finished Season 2 and I’m so glad it’s been picked up for Season 3 because it ended on a total cliffhanger!

On a side note, make sure you watch Season 1 before moving onto Season 2, so it all makes sense if you have no idea what I’m talking about ?

After almost a year of tips & tricks and how to’s, our December book of the month, Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out, Stand In the Sun, and Be Your Own Person has been a fun change of pace.

I was on the phone with my accountability partner the other day and she said her favorite part of the book (other than it was well written) was how relatable and authentic Shonda Rhimes is when she’s sharing each story.
