Peach Inspired Summer Tablescape

We’re sharing a peach-inspired summer tablescape as part of the Supper Club series today!

If you’re not familiar with this series, it all started in January 2021 with a group of friends who love to entertain. At the time, gathering together wasn’t recommended because of the pandemic. So, they made the supper club a virtual one and I’m thrilled to be the guest host this month.

The Supper Club has always been one of my favorite monthly blog hops. In fact, it was where I was originally introduced to so many of these fabulously creative ladies.

When I first found out this month’s theme was “Everything’s Peachy” I was sure we’d have peaches galore.

Especially, since this tiny little island is so close to Georgia.

But once they announced there would be a peach shortage, it changed my peach-inspired summer tablescape completely.

In the end, it all worked out because my style is such a simple one.

And after weeks of waiting for the peaches to arrive, they were thankfully right on time.

A Quick & Easy Table Runner Idea…

During one of our visits to my childhood home, Loblolly, my Mom brought along the prettiest set of shabby chic curtains for her bedroom.

While they were too short to use as curtains, they were just the right length for a table runner.

Plus, their gauzy texture is perfect for a peach-inspired summer tablescape.

Peach Inspired Summer Tablescape Place Settings…

Once the table runner was in place, I set about using my favorite thrifted chargers, our everyday white dishes, and drinking glasses.

The dishes were actually a gift from my parents, and I think about them every time I use these plates.

The utensils were all found at outdoor antique events. I love their mix-and-match style!

Finally, the plaid napkins were another fun thrifted find. They remind me of lazy days at the county fair!

Peach-Inspired Summer Tablescape Centerpiece…

As with the peaches, the flowers for our peach-inspired summer tablescape were hard to come by.

In fact, there were only a few options available.

I think it’s just so stinking hot in Florida right now.

Thankfully, they had one bunch of orange roses and one bunch of white and while they were nothing like I had originally planned to use, I was tickled pink to find them.

To help bridge the gap, I mixed several faux floral bunches with berry pics from Joanns to make the centerpiece for our peach-inspired summer tablescape.

While real flowers will always be my first choice, it’s sort of like making a table runner from a curtain.

In a pinch, it works!

Bring me all the peaches…

Finally, you can’t have a peach-inspired summer tablescape without peaches!

They’re one of my all-time favorite fruits, especially during the summer.

When I was growing up there was a peach farm not too far from our hometown where you could pick your own peaches.

We were a hot sticky mess when we got finished because we probably ate as many peaches as we picked but it was always so much fun.

It was definitely a summer rite of passage everyone should experience!

I’m so excited you joined us this month. Your table is beautiful! I have a good collection of vintage wood fruit baskets and originally planned to use them on this table. However, I got distracted with another idea. Lol. It would have been so fun if we’d both used them. Everything you do is amazing and I loved everything about your table.

  3. Lovely and creative as always.i love the idea of the too short curtains being used as a gorgeous table runner.
I am curious as to all the silverware being placed in upside-down position. I know often time pictures on Facebook are in a reversed position but I’ve not seen it any of my blogs that I follow. Thanks for a beautiful table setting.

    1. Thank you so much, Susan! Although I was bummed my Mom wouldn’t be able to use the curtains at Loblolly I was tickled pink to be able to use them on this tablescape. As far as turning the silverware upside down, it was purely for the sake of taking these photos. The LM monogram on the forks were such a special touch I didn’t want to miss capturing them properly. Hope your week has been filled with all good things, CoCo

    1. Thanks so much for your sweet words, Rachel. This was definitely a fun tablescape to put together. I totally know what you mean about not being able to find good peaches. These were pretty to photograph but only one of the 7 tasted like a fresh from the farm real peach. Sending you lots of hugs and hoping you guys are staying cool. 102 is no joke! ~ CoCo

    1. I really appreciate it, Jen, thank you! I have never been so thankful to see the peaches arrive. I was so close to having to order some from Amazon because the first batch that arrived were so tiny they looked like apricots ha ha. It was totally bananas! I’m thankful it all worked out though because I love this series so much and I definitely wanted to bring my A game for all of you. 9. Hi CoCo- I always love when you ladies get together for a blog hop. I love how you are all so creative and unique in your designs. Each of you has your own thumb print. Your peach inspired tablescape is perfect! I felt 10 degrees cooler just looking at the photos. I too prefer to use fresh flowers – and if I could- would use them ALL THE TIME. However, in real life, I too have to improvise. The other thing that I appreciate about your post is that you showed people how to improvise by using what you had on hand. (Ie. with the table runner). Sometimes a creative solution is BETTER than a “run to the store and buy something” solution.

  10. It’s perfection Coco…I loved every little detail, so pretty!
