I hope you guys are enjoying a relaxing three-day weekend. I’m working on projects in the kitchen now that it has been completely repainted. I thought it would be fun to take a look back at last year’s tablescapes in case you need last minute ideas.
I’m going to show you something I’ve never shown you before…ever…my kitchen. This expansive space is the home of Christmas cookie parties, brownie batter spoon licking contests, comfort food meal preparation and Saturday mornings spent at the conversation bar. It’s being prepped for a little makeover.
When we first started this series I was all but certain by the time we got to the front porch portion mine would be boarded up with hurricane shutters. While there has not yet been a need for said shutters, it has rained for three solid days.

I’ve mentioned on several occasions I was in the process of a home office makeover prior to leaving for the bloggers conference, Haven. I had great intentions. I was all fired up and on a mission.
A few weeks ago I was reading an email from a reader that has become the sweetest friend. She is a fantastic artist, painter and fellow vendor in Mississippi. In one her emails she wanted to know when I would be posting a house tour, which gave me the giggles.
Well, we made it. There was a lot of laughter and a lot of tears but we made it. I’ve shared some really special moments with my family these past few days.
After two weeks of working on this room, I am so excited the reveal is finally here. It all started with this buffet and hutch redo.
