From the Front Porch

Happy Sunday from the front porch, you guys. We’re excited to be spending time with you today!

Have you had a good weekend so far?

We’ve had a great weekend and we hope you have too.  I was able to wrap up all of my business and personal to-dos for the month of September on Friday which felt really good.  I also had a chance to dive into this book last week and it’s fantastic!

On Saturday, we traveled to my hometown to hang out at my aunt and uncle’s farm.  They hosted all of us for a low country boil, fishing, skeet shooting, corn hole, and horseshoes.  The entire day filled with lots of fun and we all had the best time.

It was definitely just what we needed after dealing with a crazy week last week. I won’t recount everything but I shared the highlights on Instagram  just in case you ever thought things were perfect around here ?

I was giving and receiving grace like it was my job so I’m especially thankful to be starting a fresh week this week.

Speaking of which, my Mom recently refreshed the front porch at Bliss Barracks for Fall.

It’s a small space but she keeps it festive throughout the year so it always has lots of personality.

A Few of Our Favorite Posts from Around the Web this Week…

Every year, we discuss plans for a family trip and it never fails my Dad celebrates his inner cowboy and puts “dude ranch” in the hat! I’ve always been kind of meh about the idea until I saw this gorgeous option in Montana.

So excited to see my sweet friend Courtney from Golden Boys and Me featured in the Autumn issue of Country Sampler Farmhouse Style magazine.

If neutrals are more your thing, you’ll love this beautiful Fall home tour too.

Are you ready to get your apple picking vibe on? We are too! I wish we all lived closer because we could totally be twining in this.

52 Weeks to a Simplified & Organized Home Challenge

If you’re part of our 52 Weeks to a Simplified and Organized Home Challenge,  we’re completing Week 39 Transitioning Seasonal Items like coats, hats, scarves, gloves and sweaters and looking forward to completing Week 40 Pet Supplies.

I know pet supplies seem like they should be a “no brainer.”  Especially, given they’re such a big part of our lives. Given a big travel season is about to begin, take the time now to make sure you have plenty of supplies before the hustle and bustle of the holidays.  It will help to save you time in the long run!

*** Keep in mind, if you’re new to this challenge or have gotten behind for whatever reason, simply pick up on the current week and start again.  You don’t have to be perfect, just don’t stay stuck! This challenge is all about making progress no matter how big or small. ***

TCG Housekeeping Notes, Dates to Remember & Upcoming Posts…

We’ll continue to share Fall inspired posts with you next week. Two of my aunts said they hadn’t even started decorating yet! I’ve heard that from so many other people as well.

It’s just too hot to get in the spirit of Fall, they say.  I totally get it!

The thing is, if we waited until it felt like Fall in Florida, it would be late December.  Sometimes, you just have to grab a hold of an opportunity when you can because you never know when the moment will come your way again.

We hope your Sunday is peace filled and relaxing.

Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo
