From the Front Porch

Happy Sunday from the front porch, you guys. Thanks so much for spending time with us today!

We can hardly believe this is the last week of August, can you?

Fall is our favorite season of the year and despite the heat and humidity we’ve been looking forward to celebrating it for a while. We hope you guys are ready to welcome a new season too!

TCG: Behind the Scenes

My Mom and I recently had the chance to go the last summer event at Renningers and I’m so glad we did!

It looked like it was going to rain on and off all day so there weren’t as many vendors as we were used to.  That said, the vendors that were there had amazing prices.  We found several things for makeovers we’re currently working on at Bliss Barracks this Fall. And one of the vendors invited us to shop her warehouse too which will be fun!

I just did a full recap on everything we found at the July Renninger’s event, so I thought I would share just a few things we found with you today.

My Mom spotted this framed print right away and of course, she had to have it.  We plan to use it in one of guest bedrooms upstairs…

And you know I couldn’t turn down these pieces of ironstone.

We found these old books for a desk vignette. They’re crazy weathered but the color is really pretty.

It’s been hard to find old brushes at reasonable prices (they are normally $8-20 each), but we found these for a steal ($1-5 each).

Not everything was for Bliss Barracks though.  We picked up this signed artwork for one of the guest rooms at my childhood home, Loblolly Manor!

These will be used in vignettes around the house. My Mom has the rest of our haul, so I’ll have to share those pictures with you soon. This is all I could fit in my car ?

  • Be sure to lookout for coupons and extra special savings at your favorite stores this week as we head into the Labor Day holiday next Monday.  We have our eye on a few patio pieces and I’m hoping to snag them at 75% off.  Most rugs, bedding and clothing will also be discounted.
  • Next week, I’ll share Part 2 of the Southern Living Idea House and we’re sharing Fall front door decorating ideas too!
  • We also just attended a Ballard Design event and I can’t wait to share the details.

Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

  1. It looks like you guys found a lot of great stuff Coco. I’m always interested to see where you actually put them all so I hope you’ll share. Great links and menu again this week.

    1. Thank you so much Sarah! I definitely need to do a better job of showing how we actually use the items once we’ve gotten them home. I will try to get a post together with those items for you – that’s such a great idea. Hugs, CoCo
