From the Front Porch: A Blue Christmas
Hello from the front porch sweet friends and welcome to the Blue Christmas edition of this weekly series.
Thanks so much for spending time with us today.
How has your week been?
I feel like this week is always a busy one as we tie up loose ends for work while simultaneously prep for Christmas.
Each year I try to have all the Christmas shopping and wrapping finished, as well as our travel plans and menus confirmed by December 12th.
That way, we can lean into the fun stuff like baking Christmas cookies, crafting ornaments, wandering the luminary trail, driving through festive holiday light displays, visiting holiday home tours, meeting friends for cozy dinners and spending a late night by the fire reading a good book in warm flannel pajamas.
Now is also a great time to prepare for holiday guests, to plan your Christmas tablescape, order the greeenery or flowers for your centerpeice, and to pick up your Christmas crackers if you haven’t already.
No matter how you choose to manage your to do list, remember to carve out little moments throughout your day to celebrate, savor and reflect.
It’s always the little things that make the big things feel special.
