From the Front Porch

Happy Thursday from the front porch you guys. How was your week? Are you hanging in there, tackling the week like a boss? We hope so!

I just realized we have one more week of September and I can’t even tell you how happy that makes me. I don’t know how I got off a week but let me tell ya, I am breathing a sweet sigh of relief!

We’ve spent the week working on Fall projects and pulling together a design board for our next mini makeover. I finally ordered the artwork for the entry and spent some time combing a few stores for a small table.

The area is super small, so I don’t want to “junk it up” with a lot of things but at the same time, it has to be functional and that’s the bottom line. I’m totally on the fence about it.

I kept thinking I was going to find the perfect piece of artwork and a table while we were at the How Women Create event last weekend, but I came home empty handed as far as those two items go. We did find several bags of goodies though which was super exciting.

Scenes from our week…

There were so many beautiful booths at the How Women Create event and Vintage Living Marketplace never disappoints!

I mean, can we talk about all the yummy layers that are in this one booth? This makes me ready to buy all the eucalyptus I see now!

They had so many inspirational ideas, see those cute little pumpkins? They were nubby like a vintage bedspread.

I wanted to take every piece of ironstone in this hutch home with me. There were some gorgeous pieces!

Reading this week…

As I shared last week, I was over the moon to finally meet one of my style icons, Nora Murphy, but sadly three of her flights were cancelled due to Hurricane Florence. We still picked up her special edition book at the event and I’ve read every single word already.

If you feel like you’re a little bit farmhouse and little bit French Country and a little bit coastal and a little bit traditional, you’ll like this book. You can order the book via Amazon here.

Listening to this week…

Speaking of style icons, Oprah interviewed Ralph Lauren to celebrate his 50 years of being in the fashion industry on her Supersoul Sunday Podcast.

Watching this week…

I haven’t had any time to watch tv this week but just a heads up if you’re a Poldark fan, PBS will start airing Season 4 on September 30th at 9 am EST in the US!

I hope you all have a peace filled and happy weekend. We have a great week coming up next week as we continue to celebrate Fall and share quick and easy projects you can complete to create a cozy home.

I have a few more mums to pick up for the front porch and I’m heading out to the farmers market to finally find some pretty pumpkins for an upcoming blog hop post. I have several pillows to make and I’m hoping we can steal some time for a movie this weekend too. It’s going to be really relaxing because we’ll be out of town almost every weekend in October.

Whatever you have planned I hope it’s something you’re excited about too. I can’t wait to see you back here on Monday. Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo
