Goodbye December, Hello January

December has been a month long celebration of all things Christmas. This week is always a weird mix of “I can’t wait for the New Year” and “I can’t believe I have to clean all these decorations up.” No matter what city I celebrate the holidays in, I’m always sad to see Christmas go.

We started the month with the 2015 Merry Christmas Tour of Homes Blog Hop inside the house,

on the front porch,

and on the back patio.

I shared my favorite vintage decorating tips

holiday tablescapes,

and food themed Christmas tree.

It’s been fun to come up with new ways to wrap gifts for the littles,

and make them sweet treats too.

Even though we’ve been out of town a lot lately, I’ve enjoyed moments where slowing down is mandatory.

I’ve tried to organize as many things as I can so there won’t be a big mess to clean up after the New Year. This Mobile Wrapping Station was a big clutter saver while wrapping gifts

and this ornament organization system worked so well last year, I decided to do it again this year too.

Finally, we celebrated the holiday open house at the Pickers Market earlier this month

and I’m excited to say, I’ve been resting a lot.
