Goodbye January, Hello February

It seems so hard to believe that January has almost come and gone. I swear it seems like just yesterday we were yelling “Happy New Year!”

One of my favorite things about this month is that after spending extra time with family and friends over the holiday season, January holds a promise of both new adventures and of dreams yet to be realized. I don’t know if you chose One Word for 2015 but this year my word is committed.

I’ve been able to cross one thing off my 2015 Home Goals list so far. I finally have an organized and more functional hall closet. Even looking at these pictures, I’m shaking my head. How could I have waited so long to do this?

I made a few updates in the kitchen but there are plenty of projects yet to be completed. One weekend, when we’re home all weekend, which sometimes feels like it’s never going to happen I’m hoping we can install the subway tile backsplash. We also need to finally decide on pendant lights for the kitchen island. Both items are on my February priorities list.

Speaking of priorities, the Christmas decorations were put away in the attic much earlier this year than last year, which I am totally proud of. Instead of tripping over boxes of ornaments I’ve been able to find more time to relax with a cup of cocoa and enjoy the winter décor touches.

Sales at my booth at The Pickers Market have been nuts so I’ve been painting a lot of furniture this month. These are the pieces that have been delivered and all but two have already been sold.

S made a display unit for me, which I’ll show you next week and I’ve been picking up new inventory. These are a few of my favorites. I hope I can let them go. I’m excited to work on a brand new look for my space in the coming weeks.

This month also found me sharing happy memories from the Lumberjack Party, celebrating birthdays and embracing new opportunities.

I went to the Renninger’s Extravaganza with my Mom and have plans to go again this month with my sister LiLi. If you’ve never been it’s worth the trip.

I’ve been working on my morning routine with this Rise and Shine Sugar Scrub and I made chocolate chip banana bread. My baking goal for the month of February is Cranberry and Orange Scones.

Lastly, I partnered up with these amazing ladies to host a new link party. It was so exciting to see so much creativity in one place and to be able to promote new blogs and blog friends.

Goodbye January, it’s been fun. February, if you’re listening, I can’t wait to see what adventures you have in store for me!

Many blessings for a happy weekend,

CoCo
