Latest Finds from the Treasure Trail
I was really surprised when I went searching for pictures of my latest finds from the treasure trail this month. To be honest there weren’t that many. Then I looked back and my calendar and realized why. This month found me working on projects at home and shopping for things related to those products as opposed to shopping for the booth. That happens sometimes especially since I’ve built up a little surplus and I’m trying to use the things in my inventory closet up before buying lots of new items. I do have a few things to show you though. I took most of these pictures on the run or in the early morning hours when I was unloading from one job to head to another.
The coolest thing I found all month was this wine rack. I found it on a Thursday and hauled it to the store on Friday. It was literally on the cart, not even priced or cleaned yet when a customer wanted to buy it. She was so sweet and bought this piece for her husband as a gift. They were in town at a conference so this was shipped to their home in New Jersey.
As you guys know my customers love all things coastal. How cute is this whale welcome sign?
I found this fish picture, mirror and basket all at the same sale. I don’t think I’ve ever met a basket I didn’t like.
This wire soap dish was really hard to let go of. I love it.
My office looks like something exploded in there…hence the need for reasonable storage solutions.
I’ve already featured the bag of faux apples in several posts this past month. I can’t wait use those vintage cookie cutters in a post I’m getting ready for late November. The copper jello molds were a big hit during the Fall Inspired Kitchen post. I’m looking for a place to put them permanently in the kitchen. I just haven’t found the right spot yet.
I’m seriously in love with this golfers trophy for Most Improved.
I found all of these items at an estate sale. You can tell by the background what time it was. Close to zero dark thirty.
I also found this herb drying rack. I will not be upset if it doesn’t sell. “Herbs leave their fragrance on the hand that nurtures them.” I love that.
I saw this paper mache bird at the preview sale. I swore it would be gone the first day of the sale. But there it was waiting on me.
I found this old cabinet at the same sale as I found the items above. It really needs a base but I put it in my booth unpainted already. It seems like we’ve had a lot of customers lately that want to put their own stamp on pieces of furniture now that so many different kinds of paint are available.
This desk was a non-negotiable as far as painting goes. It was gorgeous and I just couldn’t bring myself to paint it. It’s also already at my booth.
I have another piece of furniture hanging out in my garage that one of my cousins found for me the weekend of the girls only slumber party. It’s really beautiful and could be used for so many different things. I also just picked up a dresser that one of my sisters found last week. It’s such a recent pick up I haven’t even had time to unload it yet. I’m hoping to share finished pictures with you sometime next week. If you guys feel like there is always something going on around here, I feel like that too!
See you back here tomorrow. I’ll share an update of my booth at The Pickers Market.
Many blessings,
CoCo
Hey CoCo…we’ve checked the front porch and our wine rack isn’t here yet LOL. We knew it would sell right away – it is fabulous as are all of your treasures.
I have NO idea how that wine rack got rerouted to NJ instead of GA 🙂 Thanks for helping me make the decision on this one, it was a great find. Hugs, CoCo
I really enjoy seeing your latest finds! I think it satisfies a thrifting hankering in me without having to find a place in my home for all the goodies! You found some great stuff! Hugs!
Thank you, Angie! The going out is the fun part…the finding a place to store it all before it goes to the store..not so much 🙂 my office is SCARY! Hugs, CoCo
Oh my, you have gathered up some really neat stuff. Love the little old cabinet and the desk. Glad you are not painting them.
Blessings,
Audrey Z. @ Timeless Treasures
Thank you, Audrey! It’s really hard for me to justify painting some pieces you know? My dad wishes I didn’t paint anything. He can’t understand why people paint over “good wood” 🙂 Hope your day is awesome, CoCo
WOW Coco, you found so many great things. I love all your goodies and that desk is gorgeous!!! If only we lived close. Have a great day xo Lisa
Lisa, that desk is one of my favorite things too. It was definitely hard to let go of but I know someone totally amazing is going to scoop it up. Have a happy day, CoCo
Oh what great find Coco!! I absolutely love the wine rack! (and, well, frankly all of it) 🙂 You find the most lovely things on your hunts 🙂 Hope you are having a great week. Hugs, Lisa
Thank you, Lisa! Can you imagine having enough wine to fill that rack up? I wish all of the time we could shop together. We could have so much fun. Hugs, CoCo
No Kidding Coco! That would take a lot of wine 🙂 We definitely would have a blast looking for pieces of the past to bring back to life!! *SIGH* if only we lived closer. Hugs, Lisa
If we lived closer we would have so much fun! Hugs for a happy weekend sweet lady, CoCo
You’ve got the good hunting mojo on for sure Coco! It would be so fun to follow along with you ~ maybe on Periscope? Love the desk and that silver trophy plate. Here’s to more good hunting. Cheers 🙂 Bwg ~~~
That would be a great idea! I would have to hide the store signs though, you know I can’t be giving away my trade secrets 🙂 Hugs, CoCo
Coco, what great finds. My Dad is the same… Just doesn’t get it that sometimes a fresh coat of paint gives the piece a whole new life. Also that Sea Glass is my Fav. I have it all over the house. I even give tiny jars of it out as gifts sometimes. Love all the photos and great job selling that wine rack right away.
xoxo,
Brooke
I couldn’t believe I found all of that sea glass in the jar, it was definitely a lucky find! There are some pieces I can’t bring myself to paint but I’m with you, a fresh coat of paint really helps to love a piece back to life. Hugs for a happy weekend, CoCo
