The Pickers Market Booth Update
I’ve gone every week sometimes twice a week this month to change things around in my booth at The Pickers Market. We’re heading into the holiday season so I want to make sure old things have been marked way down and new things are ready for display. October is a month when we start to see people traveling for business or coming for events that are specific to North Florida area and the beaches too. Hurricane season is almost over so the weather right now is amazing. At the end of September my booth space looked like this…
and in the middle of October it looked like this…
just last week it looked like this to make room for a few pieces I have hanging out in my garage.
It’s been harder to move some pieces of furniture than I had expected and easier for others. Some pieces, I didn’t even get to take a picture of before they were being sold. If you’re a vendor you know what I’m talking about. Sometimes, you’ll get your booth set up exactly like you want it and then an anchor piece sells or a piece that’s holding your vision together will sell and you have to start all over again. It’s almost like working a new puzzle each week but that’s what keeps it interesting. You have to be willing to constantly evolve with your styling, inventory choices and price points. I definitely have plans for big changes in all of these areas next year.
I have so much more work to do in this booth before the holiday season really gets underway. You know that quote that says, “Dreams don’t work unless you do,” it’s totally true. I’m always looking to improve on things in this space to create a fun shopping experience for the customers that come into the store. It feels like a constant dance but I’m so thankful I get to do what I love each day.
See you guys back here tomorrow. I’m teaming up with the ladies of Thrift Score Thursday for a special Halloween edition!
Girl – you have been busy! Your hard work has definitely paid off…your booth looks fantastic. You know the special formula to running a successful business. Your determination, grit and can-do attitude are applauded. Well done!
My heart is swelling with pride ladies, thanks so much for all of your sweet compliments. They mean a lot to me. Hugs, CoCo
You’re shop is awesome, Coco. I’ll take that green table with the 2 fat legs, please!
Thank you so much, Mary Beth! That table sold the day I wrote this post, is that crazy or what! I know you’re “in the biz” too. It’s so much work and so much fun 🙂 Hope you’re having an awesome week, CoCo
Your booth looks great! I bet that desk doesn’t stay long. It’s beautiful! Hugs!
Oh my word, Angie, that desk! I love that desk. It was so hard to let it go of. I hope someone totally amazing buys it. It’s a really great piece. Hugs, Coco
Love your shop … just the kind that I would love to visit. Good luck through the holiday season.
Audrey Z. @ Timeless Treasures
Thanks so much, Audrey! It’s one of those really great jobs that is so much fun and so much work all at the same time. We’re getting everything ready now so fingers crossed. Hope you’re having a happy day, CoCo
Oh if only there was a direct shuttle from Atlanta to Fernandina! I see several smalls that would go home with me. You have been busy and I hope that returns great success for your efforts. Hmmm ~ maybe I should start that shuttle service 🙂 Bwg ~~~
That would be so much fun, a party bus that likes to junk it! You could mix the cocktails and let us try all of your yummy apps 🙂
Sounds like it’s been a busy, busy month! I love that “laundry today or naked tomorrow”. Too cute! Is it a sign? Laundry bag? Whatever it is, it’s adorable (and unfortunately, it’s also true!)
Thank you so much, Jamie! I love that bag too. It’s actually a small canvas laundry bag – the perfect size for unmentionables 🙂 Hugs, Coco
Wow Coco, there are so many beautiful pieces of furniture and things it’s just great eye candy. Hope its your best holiday season ever xo Lisa
Thank you, Lisa, I really appreciate it! Big girl boss hugs, CoCo
