Thrift Score Thursday

I had so much fun guest hosting #thriftscorethursday in April, the fantastic ladies that created this series let me come back for even more thrifted goodness in June!

If you’ve never participated in #thriftscorethursday before, let me tell you how awesome it is. During the week, people just like you and me are thrifting all across the country. We’re hitting up charity shops, estate sales, old warehouses, yard sales, barns and even stopping on the side of the road to pick up fun items. No matter what day of the week it is, if you see something totally fantastic make sure you hashtag your find #thriftscorethursday. That’s right you can hashtag your treasures any day of the week not just on Thursdays! Super cool, right?

Each week, these lovely ladies Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Brynne from The Gathered Home, Corinna from For My Love Of, and a weekly guest co-host (that’s me this week, yeah!) will pick a few favorite thrift scores to feature!

In addition to all of this awesomeness, these ladies are also debuting a new hashtag called #dearTST! Let me tell you how it works – say you’re in the store or you pick something you’re totally exited about off the side of the road. You love it, you’re high fiving your bestie. You are pumped. Then you get it home and you say to yourself, “What the heck am I supposed to do with this now!” Just use the #dearTST hashtag on Instagram or Twitter and these fine ladies will give you design/makeover/upcycling tips on how to incorporate it into your space. Genius right?

If you follow along on Instagram you already know I had the pleasure of treasure hunting with my Mom last Thursday. It’s been way too long since we’ve had the chance to hang out and catch up just the two of us. We found some really great things I’ll share in more detail next week but until then I wanted to give you a sneak peek of this double-sided wooden game board we bought. It’s perfect for summer!

I walked away without the one thing I went looking for on Thursday – a rug. I should have gone shopping with @thriftedriches she hit the rug lottery. Aren’t these beautiful?

I nearly fell over when I read that @olie.and.co found this amazing table in the ditch. I know! The ditch! It’s so awesome.

Finally, I love the way @averielaneblog mixed so many different textures to achieve this bathroom makeover for her kids. The colors are all really beautiful together.

A very big thank you to the ladies that make #thriftscorethursday and #deartst happen every week. It’s really exciting to know Trisha, Cassie, Brynne and Corrina have cultivated this series where we can all share what we’re most passionate about. I love to see all the goodies people find and I know you do too!
