Neutral Inspired Christmas Ideas

I know this week is going to be so busy and so exciting all at the same time. We made great progress at Loblolly Manor this past weekend and although it won’t be perfect, it is starting to feel like a real home. We now have a place to sit and eat in the dining room. The island my dad built has been installed and I’ll share more on the progress of the kitchen with you tomorrow.

It seems like a lot of people decorate for Christmas the weekend of Thanksgiving. We used to do that too. Given I’ll be spending Thanksgiving at Loblolly this year, my goal is to have all of my Christmas decorations up and the house clean when I walk through the door after the long weekend. It’s going to feel like such a gift to get it all done. My mom has been spending some time over here helping me pull everything together and it all looks really pretty. We’re using a lot of color this year, which may surprise you. There is an awesome snowman that greets you on the porch, a pair of white ice skates are hanging on my front door and the inside of this little cottage is filled with reds, plaids and vintage touches. It feels really festive.

Last year, I had a neutrals inspired Christmas so I thought I would share it with you today. It was a very calm palate, which was nice to be able to come home to every day after such a busy season with my booth at the Pickers Market. I hope you’ll snuggle up and enjoy this look back…caution – a bit of picture overload wink, wink…

    1. Thank you so much, Audrey! Every day I came home it was a calming color palate. The front door swag was my favorite. We brought that on our way home from the cabin last year and it smelled amazing! Hope you have an awesome day, CoCo
