Simple Music Sheet Project Ideas
We’re sharing simple music sheet project ideas as we team up with some of our favorite creative ladies for the Handcrafted Society Blog Hop.
This month our theme is music sheets.
And since I’ve dedicated most of the year to sending care packages and letters, I thought it would be fun to craft envelopes made from music sheets.
My first thought was to use them in a festive garland.
But I quickly realized they can be used for so many other things too.
Here’s a look at how to create music sheet envelopes as well as other simple music sheet project ideas you can make this season.

Music Sheet Envelope Steps
I found this old songbook at a thrift store many years ago.

I almost passed it up because someone had already torn a lot of the pages out of the book.
The pages that were left though were some of my Granny’s favorite hymns, so I decided to bring it home.

The first step is to gently tear out a page.

Next, fold the sides of the page and secure them in place with double sided tape or glue.

Fold the bottom section of the music sheet about half way up.
Again, secure it in place.
Keep in mind, you’re creating a pocket so you’re only securing the outside edges in place.

Next, fold the top of the music sheet into triangles and secure them in place.

Finally, fold the triangle down over the bottom of your music sheet envelope.

Ideas for Inside…
The size of the pocket you will have will depend on the size of the paper you’re using.
You can slip notes inside, use them on a tablescape, in stockings, as part of an Advent Calendar, or as a gift container.

Here is a look at what a small pair of studs look like inside the pocket.

And here is what an extra large pair of studs look like inside the pocket.

If you choose to use this music sheet envelope as a gift container, you’ll need to carefully wrap whatever you choose to put inside.
Especially if you’re gifting something like earrings where the posts could poke through the paper.

As I shared above, I’m hoping to be able to craft more of these music sheet envelopes to use on the garland in our entry.
I think it will be a sweet nod to all the care packages and correspondences we’ve sent this year.
I’ll keep you posted.
