Around the House at Loblolly Manor

As I’ve shared all week, we continue to make a lot of progress on Loblolly Manor.  I’m super excited to report all three bedrooms and both bathrooms are finished! We’ve been spending a lot of extra time there over the summer and we’ve gotten so much accomplished.  Here are a few of the smaller projects we’ve been working on…

My Mom bought this mirror to go over the vanity and sink area of the master bath.  But my Dad and brother in law accidentally broke it one day while working in the garage.  She didn’t want to throw it away because she loved the frame so I painted the outside in Pure White and the inside with chalkboard paint.  Before…

We found THE cutest chairs at one of my favorite thrift stores.  She wanted something small at the end of the bed in one of the bedrooms so she painted the chair in French Linen. Here is a shot of the chair before…

I also gave the little side table an update with Old White.  We found it at a thrift store for $10. She added the burlap pillow we picked up one weekend at Renningers to the painted chair.

Around the House at Loblolly Manor

I found this vanity seat at The Warehouse last year and snagged it for a whopping $5.  The back used to be gold but I spray-painted it with black spray paint and we covered the seat in burlap.

When my Dad took down the old fencing in the back of the property he kindly saved me the old boards.  Given there were very few of the original details left in the house after we had to take it down to the studs, I was exited to make this towel rack for them from the old fencing. Before…

While we’re making a good amount of progress there are still so many things that need to be finished.  We found this prayer bench and have high hopes we’re going to be able to make it into a bench for the dining room. More on that to come next week.
