Tour Through Blog Land
A few weeks ago I was asked by my friend Renee to participate in the Tour Through Blog Land series. She blogs over at The Refined Relic and we’ve become fast friends.

A little over a month ago, I was contacted by a Florida craftsman to review a handmade wooden herb bed. He thought it would make a great addition to my booth at The Picker’s Market. I saw a picture and agreed to give it a trial run.
Since we’re kicking off a new school year today, I thought it fitting to revisit a favorite post from last year. My sister LiLi and Moses guest posted for me while I was on vacation. They shared an easy afternoon pretzel snack that’s perfect for hungry littles.
I’ve had the serious itch to paint lately. I think I’ve had too much time away from my brushes. Or maybe it’s the “no lifting anything over 5 lbs” that makes me feel even more rebellious.

I’ve mentioned on several occasions I was in the process of a home office makeover prior to leaving for the bloggers conference, Haven. I had great intentions. I was all fired up and on a mission.
On Friday while I was looking like this
I started working on an office makeover before I left for Haven. To be perfectly honest, I had instructions that scared me. You ready? No white, No chippy, No flowers, Nothing girlie please.
This is the piece that hurt my back last Monday. I didn’t realize it until the desk was tucked safely inside the garage. I sat down to write blog posts and when I had finished I couldn’t get out of the chair on my own.
What a weekend! I still can’t believe I went to Haven! A conference for bloggers! Me – in Atlanta – by myself!
Yesterday, I did something really scary. I got in the car and drove approximately 123 miles to a previously agreed upon meeting point. That’s not the scary part.
