I hope you guys are enjoying a relaxing three-day weekend. I’m working on projects in the kitchen now that it has been completely repainted. I thought it would be fun to take a look back at last year’s tablescapes in case you need last minute ideas.
I made my way around the junk circuit yesterday with my Mom and Aunt Gale. They spent the day laughing at each other, telling stories and calling their other sister my Aunt Myra on the phone to discuss various purchases. It was a really great day.
I’m going to show you something I’ve never shown you before…ever…my kitchen. This expansive space is the home of Christmas cookie parties, brownie batter spoon licking contests, comfort food meal preparation and Saturday mornings spent at the conversation bar. It’s being prepped for a little makeover.
Since today is the first day back for Feel Good Fridays, I thought I would do something completely different. I’ve decided to tell you a super embarrassing story.
I thought I would give you a break from all of the white painted furniture, you don’t mind right? I picked up this vintage piece and to be perfectly honest I had no idea what it was.
It’s been so long since I wrote a post about my latest finds that I had to actually go back to see what I had picked up since the last time I wrote a post about it.
When we first started this series I was all but certain by the time we got to the front porch portion mine would be boarded up with hurricane shutters. While there has not yet been a need for said shutters, it has rained for three solid days.
I was thinking about how much I love those days when I was contacted by my friend Lisa of Concord Cottage. She was participating in the Protea Art Blossoms campaign and wanted to know if I would be interested in participating as well.
I bought this wicker trunk a little over a month ago. It wasn’t in bad shape it was just in need for a major update. I know hunter green was a hot for a minute in the 90’s and maybe these sunflowers were hot as well.
I didn’t want to write this post. I wanted to skip right over it, deal with this epic fail in silence and never mention it again. Ever.
We traveled down to Orlando to Universal Studios for one reason…Harry Potter. It’s so weird to even write that but it’s true.
