From the Front Porch

Happy Friday from the front porch!

I’m quickly popping in today as our pod is headed to the Lowcountry to celebrate my baby sister’s milestone birthday.

My sweet brother-in-law surprised us by renting a house a few hours away so we could all be together.

I can literally count on one hand the number of places I’ve been since the pandemic began so I’m super excited to see everyone and celebrate my sister.

It feels like there are a lot of changes happening behind the scenes and it will be nice to get away for a bit and relax.

  1. Loved looking at the spring inspo this week and look forward to reading the post in Glitter Guide on Love Languages. Years ago when I read that book and later did the Bible Study, it really changed the way I saw things and dealt with disappointment. Hope you have a great weekend and I’m excited for your time with your sister and family! Bug hugs

    1. Thank you, Cindy! I think the 5 Love Languages is definitely one of those books everyone should read. They even have one for kids now too. It really helps to know how to relate and understand the needs of others and how best to meet them too. The Road Back to You is also a good one if you’re into the enneagram 🙂 Hope your weekend was a blessed one! Hugs, CoCo

  2. You have such a beautiful blog!! Enjoy your sister!

    1. Thank you so much, Cheryl, I really appreciate it! Hope your weekend was a special one, CoCo

  3. I really enjoyed the quote you shared from Andy Rooney, that is such a wonderful perspective. And your weekly menu this week is good. YUM to everything!!

    1. Thank you so much, Heidi! That Andy Rooney quote totally got me in the gut too and I’m so glad you like the menu. I’m pretty horrible in the kitchen so it’s always fun to try new recipes. Hope your week has been a fun one so far. Hugs, CoCo
