From the Front Porch

Happy Friday from the front porch, you guys!

The flowers are blooming and the skies in Florida have been the prettiest shade of blue all week.  I hope the sun has been shining in your neck of the woods too.

It’s such a mood lifter!

Speaking of a mood lifter, our kitchen’s built-in desk was recently featured in Country Sampler Farmhouse Style Kitchen Makeovers Magazine.

As I’ve shared many times, when I was in graduate school living in a not-so-great apartment it NEVER crossed my mind I would be featured in a magazine one day let alone two magazines in the same year!

I had no budget for home decor items, buying chalk paint seemed like a luxury, and flipping furniture felt like an absolute pipe dream.

But every once in a while I would treat myself to my favorite magazines and I would spend the afternoon studying each and every page.

Even now, I can still remember what a true gift those days were and I’m beyond grateful I get to share them with you now.

Thank you for supporting me on this journey – I appreciate you so much!
