From the Front Porch

Happy Friday from the front porch you guys! How has your week been? I hope it’s been everything you’ve wanted and needed it to be.

Is anyone else having trouble with the time change this week? Our little dogs who normally wake up at 530 each morning anyway could not care less they were supposed to give us an extra hour of sleep this week ha ha.   There have been a lot of slow mornings, late afternoon naps and extra cups of coffee around here.

I have one last shopping trip scheduled this morning and then we’re kickin it road trip style to the horse farm install for the next few weeks.

We’ve been working feverishly to complete as many posts and projects as we can before we travel. We started rolling on this project way back in August and so it’s exciting we’re at this point now. Thanksgiving is our target goal but as always there are things that happen behind the scenes that don’t go as planned. Thankfully, it’s not anything major and we just have to take a slightly different approach to the pieces we weren’t able to find in time. I think it’s all going to come together well though.

My bestie S who runs the website will be staying back to make sure everything remains on track with the blog. The rest of Team Crowned Goat will be on the project site pitching in and hopefully making lots of donut runs.

Scenes from my week…

* Kicking off the unofficial start of the holiday season with one of our favorite movies.

* The holiday cups at Starbucks are back and they’re super cute! From November 9-13 from 2pm-5pm you can buy one holiday drink and get one FREE to share at participating locations as part of the Starbucks #givegood campaign this holiday season.

* I found the cutest shoes for one of the littles at Marshalls this week. I could seriously keep these if they were only in my size, sigh….

* If you’re a subscriber and had a chance to read Wednesday’s “Between Posts” you already know this sight is a big deal at our house.

*A little bit of an inspiration between finalizing our to do list for the horse farm project. Country Home magazine is one of my favorites. I flip through the old issues all the time. This one was from 2012 and it’s still a good one!

Here’s a peek at a few of our favorite things from around the web this week
