From the Front Porch

Happy Friday from the front porch you guys! How has your week been?  I hope it’s been a fabulous one.  Are you guys ready for Thanksgiving? Me too!

This week has been one wild blessing as we continue our work from the horse farm install.  I don’t think I’ve been this tired since the One Room Challenge in May when we were sanding and scraping the concrete floors ha ha.

There have been a lot of long days and a few nights we’ve had to eat dinner on the run but we’ve made tons of progress this week. I’ve been taking pictures along the way so hopefully, I’ll be able to share some of the makeovers with you after the holidays.

I’m hoping we’ll be finished over the weekend or by early next week so I can run home and pack a bag for an extended Thanksgiving break with my family.  Fingers crossed we can make it work.

 Scenes from my week…

* One of the many porches we took over for staging accessories! It was bananas.

* This sweet piece and the matching dresser got a bit of a makeover while we were giving one of the bedrooms a fresh look. It’s one of my favorite rooms now.

* On a fieldtrip to THE cutest nursery!

* The homeowners set up a paint studio and DIY work area for us in their barn so we could complete various projects while on site. The barn was HUGE so it was a dream space with plenty of room. Every time I walked from the main house to the barn to work, this horse would be out in the field, see us coming and would start walking the fence line just a talking (ok neighing) until I gave him plenty of attention. He was definitely a sweet surprise every day I’m really going to miss.

*I packed goodie bags filled with all sorts of magazines and snacks for Team Crowned Goat. This magazine was a really good one and is something we all look forward to each year. There are so many fun ideas.

These would be fun to give as gifts if you’re ready to get a jump start on making a few things before the rush starts.

This lace pottery – wow – love, love, love – I definitely need to learn how to make this.  Let me know if you try it too, ok? I’m going to try lace ornaments like this so I’ll let you know how it goes in a future blog post.

These Holiday Inspired Appetizers would be great to serve if your group gets a little snack-y while waiting on Thanksgiving dinner to be served.

I can’t wait to try this Gingerbread Cold Brew Latte recipe.
