From the Front Porch: Goodbye May, Hello June
Hello from the front porch, sweet friends, and welcome to the Goodbye May, Hello June edition of this weekly series.
Thanks so much for being here and for sharing a part of your day with us.
How has your month been?
I know the month of May can sometimes feel like Maycember because there are so many different activities and events to attend.
It was a busy but blessed one for us too.
I kicked off the month spending time with my Mom and celebrated reaching a 6 week milestone for our Habits for Purposeful Living Challenge, went to our family’s annual Derby party, celebrated Cinco de Mayo, gave my Mom a “yes day” for Mother’s Day and took her to brunch and several treasure hunting spots she doesn’t get to shop at often, celebrated the life of a loved one with a special dinner, went to my nephew’s baptism, caught the most beautiful sunset with my sisters, saw Mission Impossible with my parents, gathered lots of fun supplies for sleepaway camp care packages, kicked off my pen pal era, attended school, doctor and therapy appointments, commemorated Memorial Day, offically welcomed the summer season (it’s so hot and humid in Florida right now), set up new furniture on the back patio and part of the front porch which is a huge deal because I’ve been indecisive about those two spots for way too long.
In addition, we celebrated some untraditional holidays like National Truffle Day, Star Wars Day, Bath Bomb Day, World Meditation Day, Sherlock Holmes Day, and Lucky Penny Day to help break up the month which was fun. I’m hoping to carve out some time for Creativity Day tomorrow as well.
All in all, it’s been a great month, and I hope you’ve made some extra special memories too.
Let me know in the comments section what you loved most about May.
As always, I’m cheering you on as you create a life you love.
