From the Front Porch

Happy Thursday from the Front Porch, you guys! How has your week been? I hope it’s been fabulous and you feel totally on top of your January goals as we head into week 4.

I feel like we’re making positive changes and learning to shape new habits each week which is a good thing. I know the best flowers, the strongest trees and the sweetest fruits take a long time to grow and even though I can be quick to rush the process at times, it’s always worth the wait in the end.

January is a great month to figure out what is really working for you and your family. If you’re in the middle of a calendar that’s not working for you or a morning routine that needs to be tweaked or a cleaning schedule that makes you feel overwhelmed – take the time to address what can be fixed now so that you’re not spending another second doing something you know is not working for you!

We’ve been tweaking little bits of our schedules and routines each week as well. I keep “what worked well this week,” and “what did not work this week” notes in my planner and it’s really helped to see the changes I can make in my day to make them more efficient.

One of my 2018 goals was to read more books and I’m excited to say I finished the Brene Brown book, The Gifts of Imperfection. I’ll share more about it at the end of the month, but I really liked it. On to book two!

Here’s a peek at scenes from our week…

* January is one of my favorite months because I get to organize all the things! I know that makes me sound like a total nerd ball he he but it’s true. Nothing makes me happier than tidy organized spaces that are beautiful! You’ll see these in an upcoming project for my home office.

* Michaels has all their Spring stuff out already and a lot of items are on sale this week!

* A few sweet treats we’ll be taking to my mom’s birthday party.

* Earlier in the week it was a bit warmer than I had anticipated, so I opened one of the windows in my office to enjoy the coastal breeze. A few minutes later, this little lady snuggled up and fell into a peaceful sleep.

* Finishing up our design plans for the Loblolly Manor refresh this week searching for inspo.

I hope you have a peace filled and happy weekend!

My mom and I have headed out of town for our annual girls trip which is something we look forward to each year. I hope we’ll have lots of goodies to share when we get home. I’m looking for a special painting or a piece of art for my office so fingers crossed I find it. We have a lot of things to shop for and so many reasons to celebrate. I know we’ll have a good time no matter what we find.

We have a great week coming up next week. I’ll finally have a chance to share a few makeovers from the horse farm project which I’m excited about! It feels like forever since we finished that install. It was definitely one of the best blessings of 2017. I’ll have it ready for S (Thanks for holding the fort down, S) to share with you next week.

Whatever you have planned this weekend, I hope it’s something that makes you happy. I can’t wait to see you back here on Monday!

Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo
