From the Front Porch

Happy Thursday from the front porch, you guys! How has your week been? I hope it’s been totally fabulous and you felt loved all week.

Did you have a chance to celebrate Mardi Gras, Valentine’s Day or Galentine’s Day this week? Us too! Oh my gosh, it was super hard to have to fun food holidays back to back, right? I love King Cake and of course anything chocolate so thankfully there was a lot of sharing going on because I could have King Cake for breakfast he he.

We spent the week mostly trying to get back on track after being out of town a good portion of last week. I met my mom for a bit of shopping on Tuesday as there are still things we need to source for Loblolly Manor. I know you guys know this already but it takes MONTHS to pull elements of a room makeover or a fresh together. It does not happen in an hour, I promise.

Here’s a peek at scenes from our week…

* Thrifting in a small town is no joke you guys – look at all these church pews!

* A new rug we picked up for one of the bedrooms at TJ Maxx.

* I totally fell in love with these slippers we found on clearance for $6.00 while we were there.

* We spent some time at the zoo for Valentine’s Day and it was totally relaxing.

* Currently reading this book I got as a Christmas gift and learning about healthy eating and lifestyle habits has been fascinating. I think it’s really helped to make me mindful even when I feel indulgent.

I hope you have a peace filled and happy weekend. We have a great week coming up next week as I’ll share a quick and easy way to create a topiary for your kitchen or entry on Monday. On Tuesday, I’ll finally share a few finds from our treasure hunting trip to Renningers last month. We found some fabulous pieces we can’t wait to use at Loblolly Manor. Wednesday, I’ll show you how we transformed the yellow pedestal we found at Renningers and used it on the kitchen island. It really made the island feel more intentional and less cluttered. As always, we’ll be back here on Thursday with scenes from our week and all of our favorite things from around the web.

It’s been a whirlwind two weeks so I’m looking forward to taking things super slow this weekend and prioritizing rest. I was supposed to be out of town again but a scheduling conflict changed our plans so I’m taking the time as a gift.

Whatever you have planned for this weekend, I hope it’s something you’re excited about too. I can’t wait to see you back here on Monday. Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo

    1. I did the same thing, Sarah! I can’t wait for some of these to come out soon. I didn’t have a chance to put the Nora Murphy book on there because I didn’t see that the cover had been released yet but just a heads up it’s supposed to come out in September, I believe. I will check that just to make sure and keep you posted. Have the best day, CoCo
