From the Front Porch
Happy Friday from the front porch you guys! How has your week been? I hope it’s been fabulous! So many people are saying it finally feels like fall in their area which is exciting. We’ve had a Nor’easter a good part of this week so it’s definitely felt like fall in our area too. I know it’s going to warm up any minute now but I’m hanging on to my cardi as long as possible!
This week has been one of those weeks where’ve we had a “just push through it” sort of mentality. We sometimes have to schedule things so far in advance I get confused which week I’m working on ha ha. Thankfully, it’s all down in our calendar but man for a day or two there I was checking and rechecking to see if I was actually on the right day.
We know it’s not always going to be like this though so we remain thankful for the opportunities and let ourselves have a break when we need it. Sometimes, it’s the growing that’s the lesson and sometimes it’s the grace.
All in all, it’s been a great week and I’m excited to spend some time with my family this weekend. I hope you’ve had a good week with lots of fun things to look forward to as well.
Scenes from my week…
* No playing, I wait ALL year for these wild flowers! They only grow on the side closest to the water and down one side of our fire line. I love them so much!
* I have lots of things to show you from this estate sale shopping trip.
* This coconut cake was so good. It was like someone had shaved the coconut flakes from the coconut that morning. Lunch with my mom is always fun!
* Sometimes you just have to give yourself permission to take a break midweek.
* Flipping through the November issue of Country Living with a chai latte and these new to me granola bars. At first you think, they’re sweet but then the spicy hits your mouth at the end. It’s a great mix.

We have a great week coming up next week. On Monday, we’ll start easing into the Thanksgiving holiday with a fun printable to keep you organized. Tuesday, I’ll share a project I’ve waited an entire year to complete (what can I say I was just too nervous to start, really). If you’re a subscriber I’ll see you at our secret spot on Wednesday. If you’re not yet, we’d love to have you. On Thursday, I’ll share a peek at our Thanksgiving inspired porch and on Friday, I’ll see you back here with scenes from our week and all of our favorite things from around the web. It’s going to be a great week.
Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.
