Quick and Easy Candle Centerpiece

We’re sharing a quick and easy candle centerpiece idea as we team up with some of our favorite ladies for the November Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop hosted by the always fabulous Cindy of County Road 407.

If you’re coming over from Cindy’s blog, welcome, we’re happy to have you here. Didn’t you love Cindy’s peaceful and pretty holiday table? She’s so creative.

If you’re new to this series, The Pinterest Challenge is a monthly series where each blogger uses the same photo found on Pinterest as creative inspiration.

They then adjust the idea to fit their own specific style and incorporate it into their home in some way.

This month, our inspirational photo is from Kelly Nan whose blog is FULL of holiday inspiration.

Keeping it Simple in the Dining Room…

As with our festive holiday entry ideas, we try to keep things as simple as possible in the dining room too.

I used to leave the table set throughout the holiday season.

But over the years, I’ve gotten a lot of requests about how to bring Christmas cheer into the dining room without leaving the dishes out.

So, I’ve tried to come up with ways to make things feel festive without a lot of extra fuss.

This quick and easy candle centerpiece is one of those ideas that doesn’t really need a tutorial.

But I know a guide is always helpful.

Here’s a look at how to create a quick and easy candle centerpiece this holiday season…

Candle Centerpiece Supplies:

  • Box or Container
  • Books or Sturdy Foam Blocks
  • Burlap or Fabric
  • Remote Control Candles
  • Greenery or Faux Greenery Picks

Candle Centerpiece Steps:

Gather your supplies.

Place an empty box or container in the middle of your table.

If your box is deep like this one, you’ll need something to build it up.

We used books but you could also use sturdy foam blocks.

Once your “platform” of books or foam is in place, lay a piece of burlap or fabric on top.

Next, place your remote-controlled candles on top of your burlap or fabric.

Then weave greenery or floral picks around the candles.

Once your greenery is in place, use the remote control to turn the candles on.

You’re good to go!

Holiday Decorating in the Dining Room…

After seeing the quick and easy candle centerpiece all lit up, I decided to add a few more things to our dining room.

The chandelier holds the same greenery as the centerpiece.

And of course, I had to add some blush bows. We added fairy lights to the dining room hutch too.

The beauty of this project is that it doesn’t take long to create.

It’s something you can use throughout the holiday season and honestly into the winter season too with just a few simple changes.

And as gorgeous as it is, my thought goes to how many batteries it’s going to take. Not that they last a long time or that they have timers or a remote. THAT’S RIDICULOUS! Thank you for showing me how life needs to be beautiful and get over the pennies. I need a sign that says – Life is short, use the dang batteries! 😉 Thank you for joining us. 13. Your decorating is always simple, yet so beautiful CoCo, I always enjoy seeing what you have been up to. I think this could be year-round decor for the table. I find myself gravitating towards decor like that because changing things up as I get older is honestly a lot of work, lol! I finally dressed our mantel for winter, and it is actually quite similar to your table. No need to change it out when Christmas is over, thank goodness! Have a wonderful week!
