Spring Inspired Entry
If you had a chance to read our post about the Spring Porch Tour on Tuesday you know it’s beginning to feel like spring around here which is really exciting. Just inside the front door is our entry that opens up to the dining room, so today, I thought I would share how we added a bit of spring to the entry too.
We knew we wanted to continue the soft pinks and whites we had been using on the front porch but for some reason we just couldn’t find any special artwork to go with all the fun flowers. Thankfully, Beth from Limepeel Designs reached out to us and saved the day.
I received this package from Beth a few days ago along with the sweetest note. We’ve been following each other on Instagram for a while now. I knew the minute I saw this “Hello, Sunshine” wall art from Beth’s Etsy shop that it would be a perfect way to blend the front porch décor with the other touches of spring we’ve been using on the mantel and around the rest of the house.
The frame is slightly distressed which fits our farmhouse style décor to a tee!
I attached a ribbon to the back of the picture so I could layer it on top of the old window in the entry.
After the sign was hung I decided to add other shades of pink to the space so I used this Shabby Chic for Target curtain panel as a pillowcase
and then layered our favorite nubby blanket on the bench in the entry my bestie S helped to make last summer.
My parents brought this bag home from one of their trips to St. Martin. I usually use it as a purse in the summer but I love the texture so I thought it would be fun to fill it with flowers too.
Even though we’ve added a few touches of spring to the entry we really like to keep it simple. This functional space serves as a place to hang up our bags, keys or a quick spot to put on shoes before heading out the front door. It’s also easy to pull up to the dining room table when we have a lot of people over for dinner.
The weather has been so pretty lately most of the time we just open the doors and let the coastal breeze flow through the house. It’s the little things…
Thanks so much to our sweet friend Beth for sending us the “Hello, Sunshine” sign. Make sure to check this #ladyboss out at Limepeel Designs on Etsy and Instagram!
See you guys back here tomorrow. We’ll share all of the fun things we found around the web and all of the behind the scenes details from the week. Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.
