St. Patrick’s Day Inspired Tablescape
We’re sharing a St. Patrick’s Day Inspired Tablescape today!
Long before it ever became trendy to romanticize your life, my Mom was romanticizing ours.
It didn’t matter if we were acing a test, trying out for the cheerleading squad or celebrating a major holiday.
She made everything a thing.
Truthfully, she still does.
Our St. Patrick’s Day Inspired Tablescape Inspiration…
As a first grade teacher, she frequently carried her pomp and circumstance from our home to the classroom.
Every St. Patrick’s Day while here students were at PE my Mom would lovingly transform her classroom into a celebration room.
She carefully turned over some the desks, threw balls of paper around the floor, placed gold coins, pots and shamrocks all over, hung rainbows from the ceiling and created a gold glitter path around the room.
As her students lined up to return to class, my Mom told them the leprechauns had come to visit while they were at PE and had trashed the classroom.
Then she told each student she needed their help looking for the leprechauns.
For the next few hours, they searched for leprechauns and read stories about Ireland, the Irish people and Irish food.
They made crafts and ate sweet treats and even helped her put the classroom back in order.
Honestly, it was one of my favorite days of the year to volunteer because it was such a simple way to bring joy and celebration to the lives of others.
While our St. Patrick’s Day inspired tablescape has more of a cottage vibe then her classroom ever did, it’s still fun to find special ways to celebrate this festive occasion.

What pretty tablescape! I love your china and it’s perfect for a St. Patrick’s day decor. Combining the glittery shamrocks with the rustic pail and bread board makes a lovely combination.

I love hearing stories about your mom CoCo, she reminds me so much of my own. We celebrated all of the seasons and holidays growing up and my mom always decorated like your mom. <3 Your tablescape looks so inviting. I would love to visit Ireland, my sister did a few years ago, and loved it. She has that travel bug, and will go anywhere, but I am kind of a home-body so I enjoy her travels when I see photos.
