From the Front Porch

Happy Friday from the front porch, you guys! How has your week been? I hope it’s been a fun one and you’re looking forward to a lot of festive holiday activities over the weekend.

We’ve been struggling with the flu this entire week and oh my word, you guys, it’s been rough. I’m hoping we’re going to be on the mend soon because this is NOT the time of year to be sick, you know what I mean?

I was really looking forward to finishing the porches and baking lots of Christmas cookies before our trip but instead I found myself catching up on the final season of Longmire, this season of Fixer Upper and thumbing through magazines.

If there is a silver lining in all of this it’s that we’ve shamelessly spent days in our jammers and given ourselves a chance to rest when we were able. The extra time off has definitely been an unexpected gift I knew we needed but probably wouldn’t have otherwise taken to be honest.

Scenes from our week…

We’ve enjoyed GALLONS of green tea and ginger this week.

My bestie S makes THE best chicken noodle soup – ever.

Despite being sick we’ve still been keeping up with our advent calendar which has been a highlight each day.

I hope you have a peace filled and happy weekend. We have a great week coming up next week with three different holiday blog hop posts that I’m really excited about so I’ll be busy over the weekend trying to put the finishing touches on those posts.

Fingers crossed, I’m also hoping to feel well enough to attend my extended family Christmas party back in our hometown.   We drew names this year and one of my uncles is making schnitzel so it should be a fun time for everyone.

Whatever you have planned, I hope it’s something you’re excited about too. Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo

  1. Oh my gosh CoCo – we hat that y’all are still still sick! We know for a fact that it is #waynofun being down for the count during the holiday season. In our neck of the woods Jenn is traveling and Vicki is battling something too. It’s always something LOL. You seemed to still find a silver lining in your week. Keep pounding down the ginger! Cheers to better days ahead and wrapping you up in a warm filled hug!
