Wow, you guys what an eventful July! We started the month with a recap of my booth space at The Pickers Market. I was so excited to be able to pick up a few new pieces around 4th of July weekend but my stash is dwindling again so I’ve been out this week looking for furniture again. While I’ve had little time in the hammock, I’ve been working my way through my 2015 Summer Bucket List. Here’s a quick recap of the month!
One of my favorite projects was a set of Driftwood Inspired Trail Signs I made for the home office. We were looking for a way to incorporate fun memories from our many hikes and they were a perfect fit. With summer winding down I thought I would share with you how easy they are to make in case you want to make some too. They’re a simple way to highlight meaningful moments, favorite travel destinations, or even significant dates in your home.
You may remember I picked up three pieces of furniture the weekend of July 4th. While I was at Haven the only piece of furniture in my booth I had painted Duck Egg sold. So, it was an easy decision to paint this cabinet in the coastal color is that has become a signature in my booth.

I’ve been out of town so much lately that I haven’t been able to eat all the strawberries I’ve picked up at the produce stand or enjoy the basil from my garden. I didn’t want these ingredients to go to waste so I decided to make an easy Strawberry Basil Simmer Pot. It’s the sweet smell of summertime.
As I was getting ready for the Haven Conference, I realized I’ve never shared an entire home tour on the blog before. It’s hard to believe this is the same house I moved into almost six years ago next month. I swore as soon as I moved in everything would come together in record HGTV…
Since the July 4th weekend was a long one, I was able to steal an extra day and travel a few towns over to find a few new treasure haunts. I fell in love with this dresser as soon as I saw it. Given my love for all things neutral, this French Linen Painted Dresser is going to be really hard to take to my booth at The Pickers Market. Here are all the details of how this dresser came together…

The very minute I put the roller of paint saturated with Valspar’s Quail Egg onto the wall and watched the paint fill the textured grooves I felt at peace. As I shared yesterday this room has gone through so many changes. In order to create a space that truly felt serene I only left the bits that I truly loved. Here are how all of the elements of the neutrals inspired bedroom makeover came together.
This shabby chic inspired bedroom. Wow. So many changes. The walls have been painted 4 different colors. Every time I decorated it, I immediately wanted to change it and that should have been my first clue my style was evolving and moving in a completely different direction.
A few weekends ago, I was lucky enough to be able to haul some new pieces of furniture home. One of the dressers was perfect for a new brand of paint my parents bought me to try out this past Christmas. Since most of my customers prefer shades of sea glass, I decided to give it a go. Here are the details of how the Maison Blanche Painted Dresser came together.
