You may remember back in January, I featured a table we use for the back patio area. The stain color I originally used had more blue tones than gray so I decided to give the farmhouse style table another makeover using paint instead of stain.
One of my home goals for 2015 was to give an update to the back patio area. Painting the textured concrete as well as creating an outdoor seating and eating areas were top priorities. Here are a few tips I learned about staining a textured concrete patio.

If I had to choose two words to describe the progress of April, it would be “intentionally focused.” After feeling off track from a crazed schedule in the month of March, I was able to recharge while still managing to accomplish my goals this month.

A few weeks ago, I was so tired I couldn’t even get it together. After spending multiple weeks of blogging, painting, hauling, cleaning and searching for treasures I found myself feeling creatively empty. A few days later, I received the book Love the Home You Have in the mail.
With the workbench turned potting station completed, I turned my attention to painting the mobile workstation I brought home on the same weekend I brought home the workbench. I really like the simplicity of how the workbench turned out and I know my customers will as well. It was my inspiration for the workstation but it didn’t start out this way at all.
I’ve teamed with up with four other blogs to bring you a pre-Mother’s Day Family Recipe Swap. At least once a week, my Mom would bake cookies and these chocolate chip cookies were my favorite.
One of my favorite memories with my sisters happened a few years ago. My middle sister hosted a Kentucky Derby Party that everyone still talks about. We searched for months to find just the right hat and outfit. As soon as I saw the roses in full bloom right outside my office window this morning I started thinking about how that event inspired my Kentucky Derby Inspired Mantle.
