Christmas Inspired Front Porch
Remember yesterday when I told you my mom brought over “a few things?” This is what the back of her car looked like…
I know, right? Moms are THE best. One of the things she had tucked away in there was a wooden snowman she’s had for years. We look forward to seeing it on her front porch every year so the fact she would bring it over to help me find a bit of Christmas cheer was really special. I knew immediately it would set the tone for the front porch and honestly for the rest of the house too. I’m totally going to blame it on that bright red sweater. As you saw yesterday, we wound up using red in almost every room in the house.
We’re exchanging presents at the cabin this year for Christmas so brought out the neutral inspired presents I used last year. The North Pole Bank paper is still one of my all time favorites.
S’s dad made the wood keeping box and it weighs a ton! It’s nice to have close to the house on chilly nights when we need to build a fire.
You guys know I already have a serious sweet tooth. These cookies from Starbucks are so good. They’re like melt in your mouth good.
I picked up this plaid blanket over the summer for a few dollars. From the looks of my linen closet, I’m starting to get quite a collection of plaid blankets. I love the mix of burlap, velvet and cable knit in these pillows.
I’ve had these white skates for a few years now. It’s only snowed in Florida once that I can remember. I’ve always wanted a real white Christmas like they have in the movies.
All three of these containers are vintage. I think it may be the last year we use the ash bucket, though, as you can see it’s starting to get a little too rusty.
One of my favorite things to do early in the holiday season is to look back at old magazines for inspiration. I seriously need to go through them all. The baskets under the console table are currently overflowing.
The kids wear the snowman’s top hat around and pretend to be Abe Lincoln. Those kids give me the giggles. We had so much fun with them at Thanksgiving.
I can’t wait to cozy up this holiday season.
See you guys back here tomorrow. Right before we left for the long Thanksgiving weekend, I hosted a friends dinner so I’ll be sharing my White Christmas inspired patio!
Many blessings,
CoCo

You girls are too kind, thank you! I can’t believed my mom had that thing stuffed in her car. She’s quiet but she does not play ha ha! Hugs for a happy day, CoCo

I could live on that porch (and not just because there are cookies, which is enough dinner for me). It’s beautiful!
